Jeff Cooper, who played Dr. Simon Elby, Sue Ellen's psychiatrist in 19 episodes of 'Dallas' from 1979 to 1981, passed away March 24th, though his death has mostly gone unnoticed. Born George Cooper, his career began in the early 1960s and his last acting credit was in 1986. Would have to do more research to find out if he was an underage soldier or a civilian resistor. If the latter, he'd not be in the correct thread. I've never heard of him either but fame is a relative thing. He appeared in multiple searches when seeking out info. Edit: Read more in the link about him. Was part of the Garibaldi brigade, a volunteer military unit. That makes him a World War II soldier. Gets back to the 'fame' thing as to whether he's worthy of inclusion in a Deathlist thread.
