https://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/news/24828675.iconic-archers-actress-continuing-work-marlow-care-home/ Patricia Greene (Jill) pictured in her care home recently (article published this week). So sad to see her so frail
-
Has Judith Chalmers appeared anywhere recently? Will be 91 at the end of 2026.
-
Don't know about Alzheimer's I've heard more physical health rumours, but hopefully they're both wrong and she lives into her 90s as the woman is a legend.
-
Yes Brian does when you consider he's pushing 90 years of age but because he's bigger and had that collapse on stage 10 years ago followed by a pacemaker fitted I'm wary of missing him. I don't think he will go next year but think he will be a big miss if he did and 2026 onwards I think he should become a mainstay of the list. As for Helen Worth she looked okay in her final scenes but there have been hushed rumours and whispers from people in the know, as well as her only filming limited scenes in her exit storyline. I hope I'm wrong as I think the character in general was fab. Paddy Greene is known to a cousin of mine and is very frail in a care home, as well as having battled cancer in the past (which she beat however) and a stroke. She does sound weak when she's been on The Archers recently sadly. Can I just say @Sean how much I enjoy your contributions to the forum. As a long time lurker before joining you have always been good value overall. A very happy new year to you

Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread
Jeremy Corbyn replied to M Busby Airlines's topic in DeathList Forum
She is a friend of the mother of an old colleague of mine. The mother has passed away a good 12-13 years ago, but Elizabeth (known to us as Mrs Trower) is very much alive and residing in a assisted living facility. I've met her but only once, at a wedding. She is such a lovely and kind person, my former colleague went to see her in the summer. -
Still as mad as a box of frogs then. Great to see

Looks well considering, I reckon he'll probably stand again (and win).
-
Looks pretty good for nearly 91 here
-
I hate to say it but could it be time for Brian Blessed to debut?
-
89 at risk of sounding pedantic. Even more impressive when you consider all of his health problems that he was just three months short of 90.

Longest British marriages, appeal for information.
Jeremy Corbyn replied to Master Obit's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Hi Master Obit, are you looking for notable people or just anybody? If the latter, there are a husband and wife aged 97 and 94 living a street over from me in South Wales celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary this year, they still live independently in the same house they have lived in since the early 1950s and their 71 year old daughter visits them every day. -
What do you mean? That I'm not Jeremy or that I'm going to live another 20 years?
-
You'll be waiting at least another 20 years

The man is clearly a legend (especially for his philanthropic work) and always will be, but this thread has become cluttered with inane rubbish in the last few months, most of which is completely off-topic and irrelevant to Jimmy's health. Plus I've no doubt he probably privately despises mangoes

I have a very bad feeling that it may not have been a natural death so to speak. I hope I'm wrong but a friend of mine who knew of Steve told me a good few years ago of his long battle with depression, which doesn't mean anything of course but it was the wording of the article that stated that paramedics were called to 'an incident' where they found him dead at home after sending numerous 'resources' out. I hope for his sake that it wasn't and was as peaceful as possible as he was a legendary and innovative broadcaster. Apparently a really nice person in real life too, RIP Steve

Obviously still relatively well then

She was an incredibly pretty girl back in the day, shame she turned into a rabid right-wing racist
-
Still surprised he recieved an MBE considering he seems to have lurched further and further to the right over the years. Then again, looking at some of those who've been awarded a a knighthood

One of the most notable and longest-lived radio actresses in the UK, who spent 70 years playing a major character in the most-listened to radio soap opera of all time. She should definitely be included, and should probably have her own thread (not that I'm going to make one, I'd probably be chastised)

Is there any way we can access this?

Wondering the same. Didn't think the GRO Index had been updated yet even for 2022, never mind this year.
-
Haven't seen anything about him presenting a Christmas show on Boom this year yet.
