Only Famous For Being Ill And Dying
Clorox Bleachman replied to Paul Bearer's topic in DeathList Forum
Recently, I came across the media company SoulPancake. They have a YouTube series by the name of My Last Days. You can guess what it's about. There have been 9 people featured in it and 5 of them have since died, but 4 are still alive and remain as terminally ill as ever: Shane Burcaw 25, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, life expectancy below 30 has written 3 books Ann Silberman 58, terminal Stage IV breast cancer for 7 years runs a blog called "But Doctor... I Hate Pink!" Claire Wineland 21, cystic fibrosis, transplanted lung which has failed non-profit organisation called Claire's Place Foundation Darth Vader (yes, really) 43, given 10 years to live with leukaemia 13 years ago regularly competes in Tough Mudder competitions -

There's a big difference between attitudes in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, that's why Trump's decision to move the US Embassy was significant. Sadly being proud isn't enough to ensure your safety. In most parts of the world LGBT people are still at risk of being harmed and Jerusalem falls foul of what should be deemed acceptable. I do think, however, that next year's contest will be something different in a good way, much like Baku 2012. Baku is only a stutter away from Bakubakuhoombakubakuhoomhoombakubakubakuhoompahoompahoomhoomhai.

Leah Bracknell. Silent online for 4 weeks now.

I wonder if her pledge of "more people living longer lives with cancer" will move forward. R.I.P.

I agree. Sweden absolutely did not deserve so many points, what a rubbish performance. There wasn't a lot of talent as a whole to choose from. Deviating from the pack slightly... Cyprus, Austria and Czechia brought nothing new to the competition. Don't get me wrong, I like pop music, but how do you choose a winner from such bland songs? "You don't", is the answer. Israel was the biggest WTF performance of the night but it was the only one to get a laugh out of the maw, so it's a winner in my eyes. I like that politics were less of an issue and the winner was chosen on the ridiculousness of their performance. The question is: will the laughing stop when Jerusalem hosts? Not a place known for treating the LGBT community (or Arabs or Africans or women or really anyone who doesn't conform to their ideals) with compassion.

A veterans group mistakenly announced his death. Edit:

A man interrupted the UK's performance and stole SuRie's mic. The song's a load of pish but fair play to her, she kept going strong. Potential sympathy votes? Edit: nope

Just seen a video of her successor, 113-year-old Lessie Brown. If anyone's got her on their team then it seems like they'll be getting points. Nabi Tajima looked better at 117, fucking hell! Poor woman.

I know that, but I was just wanting to point out that that's the first No.1 hit of this pool. I might have been wrong in saying that DI's in the lead (I'm not counting). Either way, yesterday was a good day for point-scoring.

Good news! Not only has he turned 112 but he is also now fully verified by the GRG. That means he's officially the oldest living WWII veteran, the oldest living man in America and the 2nd oldest man in the world (there's a German who's probably older but he doesn't want to be verified). There's some pictures in that article from yesterday, but I'm still waiting for video footage of him having a "funky good time". Mainly cause it's funny that a 112-year-old's got a better social life than I do

Interesting word choice...

I get my first ever hit (and it's unique!) with Delphine Gibson. Daily Mail @Death Impends also goes straight into the lead with a 500pt hit thanks to David Goodall.

First it was her septum, now it's her cheekbone. She puts it down to osteoporosis and "bad dental work"...

Andrew Marr has a malignant tumour on his kidney which he's getting taken out. Bear in mind that he had a bad stroke at the age of 53.

You're right, cheers for that. After a bit of faffing about, I had to wait for the option of converting the link into plain text. A few seconds after that it embedded automatically. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again...

Wow, I feel like a noob. Is it just that you need to be using a PC for it to work?

How do you: embed a tweet embed a YouTube video link to another thread?

Man U have released a statement on Twitter. "Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone surgery today for a brain haemorrhage. The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to aid his recovery. His family request privacy in this matter. Everyone at Manchester United sends our very best wishes."

Couldn't agree more. My mate's mum got diagnosed with glio around the same time as McCain/Jowell and she's really putting all of her energy into extending her life. This is a once very strong 40-year-old. She has to choose between destroying her body so she doesn't die, or having a peaceful month and then being bedridden. McCain's twice that age. Of course he doesn't have the same physical strength to endure treatment after treatment. The end result will always be the same. At this stage in the game, the best thing that could happen to him is probably dying now before he has to deal with any more painful shit. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

It couldn't even last 20 minutes. Monica Barnes, 82, Irish politician.

I've been wary of elderly newcomers to politics since this eightysomething rocket tried to run for UKIP near my local ward... She's still kicking but clearly a bit senile

Death confirmed by GRG.

Is there some kind of breakdown of what constitutes a QO? Struggling to make sense of it. It makes no sense that Newsbeat and its embarrassing attemps to get 'down wiv le memes' is seen as more reliable than the main news source of Scotland.
