Yup, I hear you. If it hadn't been for the obits in the Ottawa Citizen, Global News, McLean's, CTV, Globe and mail, CBC, Hilltimes, MSN.com, IPolitics and the Toronto Star, we might never even had heard he died.

Yeah, I wasn't here a couple of years ago, so I didn't get that lesson. I'm learning now. Fingers crossed though.

I'm not doing so well with the QO thing, so seeing as I have him in multiple spots I'd say the QO is unlikely.

Sort of right, but usually lung damage is caused by a pulmonary embolism, not the other way around. Most common cause of pulmonary embolism is a thrombus thrown from the legs.

Kerslake says he has metastases in his bones now. This reduces his one year survival from 90% to 50/50. Seems pretty energetic now, though. -
Jeez, I actually saw this guy at Calgary 88.

Not looking good for a Chris Wilson obit at this point, is it? That would place me nicely in the DDP, but that's the game I guess.

Gerald Cotten. A little late, but one more reason why I am baffled by cryptocurrencies. This fellow died suddenly at 30 of complications from Chrohn's in December 2018. What is significant is that his death effectively sealed forever $250M in crypto accounts, because only he had the password. Account holders told to fuck off. https://www.timescolonist.com/news/b-c/bitcoin-dealer-seeks-credit-protection-dead-owner-had-sole-access-to-250m-1.23621105

Protective custody, surely. His greatest danger will likely be himself.

Walter Mzembi- real or just trying to avoid prosecution? https://www.herald.co.zw/just-in-mzembi-in-critical-condition-says-sikhala/

It sounds like this was more of an independent living type of place for seniors. Only 69 out of 660 residents even recieved Homecare, so quite likely there was no ' caretaking' in consideration at all. Horrible accident, but not necessarily the facility' s fault. If she was unable to follow the fire drill procedures independently, she likely shouldn't have been living there. -
Since Fairlie was one of my WCs, can I make Jean-Louis Tritignant one of my new WCs, or does it have to be my first sub? Recent events lead me to believe JLT is not much longer for this earth.

Sweet. Thought I was going to be nickel and diming it all year. With 4 hits already, though, and LFN off to a massive lead, I think I am near mathematically impossible now to reach the lead.

Looks like Jim Kelly beats cancer again! https://nypost.com/2019/01/18/hall-of-famer-jim-kelly-gets-clean-bill-of-health-in-cancer-battle/ -

Seems that if we continue the trend of my bottom picks dying first, then Jean-Louis Tritignant and Andrew Fairlie are on borrowed time.

Chris Wilson has passed. Apparently. http://www.noise11.com/news/melbourne-guitar-legend-chris-wilson-loses-battle-with-cancer-at-62-20190117

Ok, I give up. It's probably right under my nose, but I can't find it. When does this pool officially start?

I will sub in Terry Jones for Carol Channing please.

No, that will have to do. I think I sprained my cultural aesthetic ligament.
