Personally I think he has over-performed with that squad in recent years, but then again I've not had to watch them every week.

Amazing that 7 of the bottom 8 won on the last day (the exception being Huddersfield who were all but down anyway and were away to Ipswich who needed a result for automatic promotion). Makes you wonder how, if all these clubs can suddenly win (mostly against top half teams, including the champions and play off contenders) when their lives depend on it, how come they can't win a bit more frequently before the last day. Anyway, glad Plymouth stayed up, although their form over the second half of the season and the quality of their squad (mostly L1 standard) suggests they'll be favourites to go down next year.

I'd like Plymouth to stay up (west country solidarity) so that means they'll get stuffed by Hull and go down, while Birmingham and Norwich play out a draw that will ultimately suit both of them. Don't think Leeds or Southampton will go up, both are in poor form and have the disappointment of losing out in a season long chase for automatic promotion. If they make the play offs think Hull will do it, failing them then Norwich.

Bit harsh, they've had financial problems compounded by the fact that their pitch regularly floods in bad weather and they got massively behind with their fixtures and had a run at the end catching up. Bobby Wilkinson out suddenly 'by mutual consent' at Weymouth. Surprising both in terms of timing and results - he has taken a squad that stayed up on goal difference on the last day of last season which was subsequently shorn of its two main goalscorers into a creditable 'nearly safe if not yet mathematically so' 14th. As is ever the case, unhealthy speculation as to the real reason why he has gone is rife on social media.
