I'd you read the rather entertaining article in full, it appears to be a problem with the pacemaker as opposed to cardiac arrest or anything more sinister.

But the poor lad really has had a lot of rotten luck

It might be like what Daley Blind had with his heart device which went odd while he playing and looks and probably feels a bit like a heart attack.

Enock Mwepu (Wiki). As reported on the Time Added thread, he has been hospitalised following a suspected heart attack.

I think with a case like this (Person reported to be admitted to hospital in possible serious condition.) any reports of a death on wiki before any source mentions it are probably vandalism.

May have been a wise decision to drop.

Spoke to the Guardian earlier about Gerry O'Hara and they said they won't be running an obituary due to a big backlog of showbiz type obits (most of which have already been published online but haven't yet appeared in print). News to me they were still printing the Guardian but whatever!

Without an obituary when will he be able to posted on the Deaths in 2023 page on Wiki. And even the list of the of missed on DDP requires some evidence.

Good catch. I deferred to the fact that her celeb code had 021 in it, but that precludes DDPs from before 2003.

I wasn’t searching for it I was just reading the archive as I am trying to keep busy.

Congratulations on the 10 points. And here was me thinking you got the wrong tennis player when Naomi Oskaka got pregnant.

I actually did think of having her because of a rumour on the blind gossip websites about a year ago that seemed to be referring to her being upset one day that she wasn’t pregnant because she wanted a break from tennis.

List of the Missed. Somewhat surprisingly to me, she was only ever picked in 2021, thought she'd be a youngish punt pick more often.

I don’t think she was seen by many as someone with a high risk of dying young.

  8. It’s prostate cancer. The article says so. He was diagnosed at 58 and underwent radiotherapy and hormone treatment and was initially told he had a more than 80% of being cured but a routine scan two years later showed it had spread to his bones including his spine and neck and also his pelvic lymph nodes. He has had five or so types of chemotherapy. He had a treatment recently of being injected with nuclear fluid but it was unsuccessful. He is currently on hormone treatment. His exact words are ‘I shall probably not celebrate my 80th birthday. I doubt the treatments will be good to keep me to [a lifespan] I would otherwise have had but they are keeping me alive at the moment, and probably will for quite a long time to come.’

He has written a memoir which is being published soon and found out recently his obituary has been prepared (Doesn’t say by who. The BBC. The Telegraph?)
