    Deadpool Detective Work

Did a bit of research to find out which vice president candidates and vice presidents of the United States have alive parents: (Every VP and VP nominee from before 2012 has both parents dead) Sarah Palin's (Republican VP nominee in 2008) parents are alive according to a fast google search but looking a bit further it can be noticed that Sarah's mother Sally (b. 1940) died in 2009 and father Charles "Chuck" (b. 1938) died in 2004. Biden's parents are both dead, too. Paul Ryan's (Republican VP nominee in 2012) parents? His father died in 1986 but I can't find a obit for her mother Elizabeth (b. 1934) anywhere. Tim Kaine's (Democrat VP nominee in 2016) parents were both alive in 2016 and can't find a mention of their death anywhere. Mike Pence's dad died in 1988 but his mother Ann Jane is still alive, born 1932. Kamala Harris's mother died in 2009 but his father Donald (b. 1938, too) is still alive.

Kalima Amankulova. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalima_Amankulova Would be 105 this year and with a fast google search I can see multiple sources saying (inluding the English wikipedia page that lists a date of birth but not a date of death) she's alive but with no proof. Even though she was the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Kirghiz Soviet Republic (in 1938) there seems to be only one photo of her everywhere. The Russian wikipedia however claims that she died in 2002 but I don't seem to find a source to that. Much more likely that she's already dead though

    James Bond 007 (Connery/Moore/Villains etc)

I decided to check how the SPECTRE members in Thunderball are doing. (Almost all dead, though) Blofeld, Number One: Anthony Dawson (1916-1992) Largo, Number Two: Adolfo Celi (1922-1986) Spectre Number Three: Victor Beaumont (1912-1977) Spectre Number Four: Neville Becker (1930-1999) Spectre Number Five: Philip Stone (1924-2003) Spectre Number Six: Bob Simmons (1922-1987) Spectre Number Seven: Cecil Cheng (1925-2002) Spectre Number Eight: Did not appear in the film Spectre Number Nine: Clive Cazes (1929-1987) Spectre Number Ten: Andre Maranne (1926-2021) Spectre Number Eleven: Murray Kash (1923-2009) Spectre Number Twelve: Peter Forbes-Robertson (1927-1995) Spectre Number Thirteen: Gabor Baraker (1926-1983) Spectre Number Fourteen: Jaron Yaltan (1921-2002) There also were: Blofeld's voice actor: Eric Pohlmann (1913-1979) Largo's voice actor: Robert Rietty (1923-2015) Largo's underwater "stunt" actor: John McLaughlin (1927-2016) Yes, I checked these after I found out Maranne that someone suggested for the list was in this movie. I remember the scene very well and I'm honestly suprised that he's the last man standing from there.

    General Non School Massacre Thread

I was suprised to find that Finnish murderer/killer Tauno Pasanen (born 1934, 86 years old) is still alive: https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tauno_Pasanen Pasanen in 1969, while drunk, forced his wife and children to leave his house. The neighbour of Pasanen called the police and the police came heavily armed as Pasanen was known as a very agressive man. Pasanen gave no mercy and killed all the four policemen. There is also a movie about this: https://imdb.com/title/tt0137863/ Pasanen tried to get free by sending multiple letters to president Kekkonen. Finally the next president, Mauno Koivisto granted amnesty to Pasanen in 1982. Pasanen and his wife divorced in 1992. Well, in 1996 Pasanen and his wife were back together (possibly only as friends, though) and were binge drinking. Probably not the best idea to do that with your abusive former husband who once shot four cops under the effects of alcohol. This ended in Pasanen strangling his wife to death. He got free in 2000 after only four years. Someone tried to ask him for an interview last year, he declined the offer saying that his children don't want him talking about what he has done.

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2021

Criminals? Francis Clifford Smith (b. 1924), serving a life sentence for 70 years. Longest time in prison ever if he lives around half a year. Probably not famous enough though but he's in some kind of a nursing home now. Iwao Hakamada (b. 1936) Spent 46 years on death row. Suffers from mental problems and diabetes and doesn't look healthy. Ayman Al-Zawahiri (b. 1950) Leader of al-Quaeda, but turning 70. Probably won't die a natural death though.

    Minimalists (and other classical composers/musicians)

Theodorakis is and Glezos was a repicient of the Lenin Peace Prize. There are only four people alive who were awarded the prize after Glezos's death (yes, it ended with the Soviet Union in 1991): Mikis Theodorakis (b. 1925) Greek composer and lyricist, Sam Nujoma (b. 1929) Namibian president and revolutionary Martti Ahtisaari (b. 1937) Finnish president and nobel peace prize winner. Survived COVID this year. Angela Davis (b. 1944) American political activist

Foreign Personalities, From Stage, Screen, Politics And Life

Sven Wollter dead at 86 from COVID. Decided to put this on this thread instead of the covid casualties as he was a very known actor and one of the four alive main actors in the Beck movie Man on the Roof (1976) known to very many in the nordic countries. Haven't watched it myself but I've seen other later Martin Beck movies. He was Lennart Kollberg. Now there are three: Thomas Hellberg (b. 1941) as Gunvald Ingvar Hirdwall (b. 1934) as the Man on the Roof. Harald Hamrell (b. 1960) as Stig Nyman's son

    Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

What's probably already crushing them is everyone from their generation dying off from around them. Elizabeth quoted Vera Lynn when the coronavirus started spreading, probably in some way also attempting to show that there are still other notable people alive from the greatest generation. But Vera Lynn died a few months after that and it's just a fact that her and Phil's time to go is just getting closer and closer. Also Anne and Charles (+ Camilla) are in their 70s now. I'm again repeating this but I don't think these four others will live longer than duke gaffem
