Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann hospitalised the second time this week. Other politicians say he is/was in emergency condition but his spokesman claims he's hospitalised "only for tests and he has no health issue". He's rumored to have suffered from cirrhosis for a while.

Nikula's sons were interviewed earlier this year. They say he never recovered from his 2007 stroke, it was a miracle he even survived it and has now been in a care home with very advanced dementia for years. "All things considered doing well" -
Although not picked in the DDP, here's a Amadou-Mahtar M'Bow telegraph obit (behind paywall - content in spoiler). I've read less critical obituaries on mass rapists and murderers.

Amadou-Mahtar M'Bow being reported (finally) dead at 103: https://aps.sn/deces-de-amadou-mahtar-mbow/

John MacArthur had an aortic valve replacement in July, has had litres of fluid removed from his lungs and kidneys this year due to "his organs not functioning properly" and most recently had a blockage removed from his lungs last week. Sound like he's circling the drain.

Ivan Krasko, Russian actor and coffintease is 94 today. -
Bengali actor/playwright/director Manoj Mitra hospitalised, very critical with heart and brain failure.
-
Laine's granddaughter (E. Dankworth) seems to be the only source to provide any updates on her. She usually posts a recent image (or images) of Cleo onto her Instagram page on Cleo's birthday. This one is the one of the Oct 2023 ones:
-
Jouko Salomäki, 1984 74kg wrestling gold medalist has recently had a heart surgery, pulmonary embolism and metastatic pancreatic cancer but is "currently doing well"...atleast at the moment.
-
Eddie Miró out of ICU after nearly a month of ventilator/ICU. Tough fucker, I doubt he'll be discharged but after Monwar and obviously Keegan he was the one I least expected to survive a week or two. Shafik Rehman already discharged, fully recovered and able to stand up. His ailments were apparently never that "serious" (parkinson's, diabetes, arthritis, spondylosis, infections etc.)
-
Jayapataka Swami hospitalised again.
-
Jorge Lanata now suffering from sepsis, infections, worsening encephalopathy and "lung nodule" that causes severe respiratory problems, antibiotics are not working. Multiple organ failure by next week?
-
One seemingly less-known fact is that he was Big Brother in the amusing Apple MacIntosh 1984 ad:
-
Nritya Gopal Das reportedly hospitalised again, "under observation".
-
Japanese billionaire Nobutoshi Shimamura of discount clothing retailer SHIMAMURA Co. died in July at 98 with so little fanfare Forbes still has him marked alive.
-
Vietnamese historian Nguyễn Đình Đầu dead at 104.
-
Dilon Djindji DEAD at 97.

I remember this local "beware of thin ice" PSA scaring me quite well: -
Good riddance, a welcome death. From the quote, Steel Warrior Mai Xiande is still alive, although not such a big name he has a very interesting story and is even slightly likable. During the Battle of Dong-Yin (1965) he was an electromechanical engineer on frigate and was hit by a shrapnel from a torpedo, but despite a massive damage to the brain (see below) he allegedly stayed at his post for 3 hours. No idea how that is survivable, but he'll be 80 next year.

Orthodox Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia looks unconscious here, two days ago:
-
Stjepan Mesic hospitalised with serious leg injury, will be in hospital/rehabilitation for weeks but "doing fine".
-
South African gospel singer Solly Moholo gravely ill with multiple organ failure, prayers asked. I saw it earlier and didn't decide to post as it was originally a "minor stroke"...and Dilon fucking Djindji, 30 years older, is still alive despite similar health issues.
-
Daniel Bisogno allegedly hospitalised in critical condition today, just days after he was discharged.
-
Video taken this month on facebook (of Pappammal). They admit she's suffering from "an illness", but whatever illness it is, she's in late stages, looks horrible compared to the quoted image.

Could we start using this thread again for some of these cases?: There are a few groups of very different bodybuilders or "bodybuilders". 1) The classic, natural bodybuilders (Samson Burke, Joe Weider, Manohar Aich, Len Sell, Peter Lupus, Clarence Bass...many others) 2) The modern ones who aren't natural, but are actual bodybuilders of IFB/NABBA, etc. (Arnold, Ronnie Coleman, Dorian Yates, Bertil Fox, Ritva Elomaa and nearly all the current ones...more borderline cases include Craig Titus, Miloš Šarčev, Rich Piana, Ernie Taylor and Gregg Valentino, but they still are/were actual bodybuilders too) 3) Synthol freaks/Instagram Hulks/YouTube monstrosities (Valdir Segato, Ronny Rono, Kirill Tereshin, Moustafa Ismail, Romario Dos Santos Alves, Arlindo de Souza, Bostin Loyd...and these Golem Yefimchyk and Matheus Pavlak) The two first groups fit into this thread. My personal opinion is that modern, self-proclaimed bodybuilders who have never competed and/or are only famous on social media should not be posted here.
