not a really useful answer to my question. Realized that this thread could also be used for the other war criminals of Cambodia...here's who's left: Khieu Samphan (90, 1931-) Prime Minister, by far the most notable Khmer Rouge member alive. Has active trials and can attend them, could go on for a while. Or not. Yim Tith (84, 1936-) Sector 13 secretary accused of premeditated genocide. Case probably dropped as his actions weren't as bad as those of Samphan or Muth. Meas Muth (83, 1938-) Commander in the navy, is or is going to be on trial. Genocide on Vietnam and crimes against humanity. Im Chaem (~78, 194x-) Alleged district secretary, could have dementia. Ao An died in 2020. There are a ton of witnesses, many also Khmer Rouge members including Chhouk: https://www.eccc.gov.kh/en/topic/886

Didn't realize Chhouk has a thread. Is he dead or still rotting in jail?

Here's an interview with his wife. Tony doesn't seem to be in such a bad shape, and seems to still be enjoying life.

Suu Kyi has had so many health problems during the years and looks frail as a skeleton. Could have her former "archenemy" Than Shwe on the list too, the diabetic 85 (or 87)-year old rumored to have cancer.

I'd say all three look bad for their age. Cameron's still a bit "baby faced", he'll live long.

Apparently Wunna Maung Lwi is the minister of foreign affairs again.

Croatian parliament member Miroslav Tudman died yesterday aged 74. He was the son of president Franjo Tudman (1922-1999) and Ankica Tudman (born 1926)

The coup is apparently lead by Commander of Armed Forces Min Aung Hlaing and first vice president Myint Swe. A "state of emergency" has been declared for the period of one year. They've promised an election but apparently Min Aung Hlaing wants to try what it's like to be a dictator before that. I doubt she will just bounce back after the Rohingya crisis.

I'll take Stewart Prestley Blake.

This means that there are four former prime ministers of Eswatini alive. Mabandla Dlamini (born 1930) 1979-1983 Paul Shabungu (born 1943) 2003, acting Themba Dlamini (born 1950) 2003-2008 Bheki Dlamini (born 1952?) 2008, acting

I decided to check how many recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom are alive from before the younger Bush's tenure. It has been awarded since 1963. Not mentioned are large groups of people. George H.W. Webster, b. 1924 (awarded 1991) Richard Petty, b. 1937 (awarded 1992) Bill Clinton: Joan Ganz Cooney, b. 1930 (awarded 1995) Bob Dole, 1923-2021 (awarded 1997) William Perry, b. 1927 (awarded 1997) Robert Coles, b. 1929 (awarded 1998) Frances Hesselbein, 1915-2022 (awarded 1998) Jimmy Carter, b. 1924 (awarded 1999) Rosalynn Carter, b. 1927 (awarded 1999) George J. Mitchell, b. 1933 (awarded 1999) Wesley Clark, b. 1944 (awarded 2000) Marian Wright Edelman, b. 1939 (awarded 2000) Jesse Jackson, b. 1941 (awarded 2000) Aung San Suu Kyi, b. 1945 (awarded 2000) And a few picks that I'd say are pretty frail nowadays: Bill Cosby, b. 1937. Awarded during Bush's tenure. Ruth Johnson Colvin, b. 1916. Awarded during Bush's tenure.

Time is running. Martino, Davies and Gulpilil are still alive, there's a chance we'll see a "second round". If you haven't participated with your six names I recommend doing it.

Any news on him from the last months?

It'd be cool to have a "year of three popes" but all of the three are living

I watched Atlantic Crossing and decided to read a bit about the characters. King Harald V had two sisters: Ragnhild (1930-2012) and Astrid (born 1932) who is going to be 89 in february. Ragnhild's widower, industrialist Erling Lorentzen is still alive and will be 98 on the 28th of this month. He is still in good shape. Died 9th March 2021

Bob Dole has been claimed by the Hole.

I'm too starting to think that this years list was pretty bad. Won't get near last year's list.
-
Sad how he lost two of his children during the last six months of his life.
