People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...
arghton replied to Vaagheid's topic in DeathList Forum
Grand Ayatollah Yousef Saanei, called "Iran's most liberal Grand Ayatollah" has died according to wikipedia at age 82. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yousef_Saanei Here's an article about him from 2015 https://qz.com/569314/talking-politics-diabetes-and-socks-with-irans-most-liberal-grand-ayatollah/ Seems to have been a great person. He thought that women could some day be Grand Ayatollahs too. -
Has there been any news about Bouteflika lately?

I'm not sure about people aged 95+ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Lawson_(British_Army_officer) But Richard Lawson, GOC in Northern Ireland during the Troubles is going to be 94 and he and Kitson are the only Generals born in the 1920s left, I think From the USA, Harry E. Goldsworthy (born 1914, 106) is probably the oldest Lt.Gen alive Also, Lt.Gen William Carr, called the "father of modern Canadian Air Force" is still alive and 97 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Keir_Carr

Baron Inge looks like a 90 year old in that wikipedia picture from 2007.

Here you can reveal the cast of your favourite movie(s) and game(s). I'd be glad if you told us the roles and maybe the dates of birth and possible dates of death, too. I shall start. My favourite movie is a Swedish 1998 Martin Beck crime thriller called The Money Man. The cast is the following: Peter Haber (b. 1952) - Martin Beck Mikael Persbrandt (b. 1963) - Gunvald Larsson Stina Rautelin (b. 1963) - Lena Klingström Per Morberg (b. 1960) - Joakim Wersén Ingvad Hirdwall (b. 1934) - Beck's neighbour Rebecka Hemse (b. 1975) - Inger (Martin Beck's daughter) Fredrik Ulveldt (b. 1961) - Jens Loftgård Michael Nyqvist (1960 - 2017) - John Banck Lennart Hjulström (b. 1938) - Gavling, crime boss, "the money man" Lasse Lindroth (1972 - 1999) - Peter, Inger's boyfriend Bengt Nilsson (b. 1967) - Leonard Peter Hüttner (b. 1945) - Oljelund Additional: Music by Ulf Dageby (b. 1944), original book writers Per Wahlöö (1926 - 1975) and Maj Sjöwall (1935 - 2020) Game - Team Fortress Two (2007) Heavy and Demoman - Gary Schwartz (b. 1952) Engineer - Grant Goodeve (b. 1952) Scout - Nathan Vetterlein (b. 1982) Medic - Robin Atkin Downes (b. 1976) Spy and Pyro - Dennis Bateman (b. 1960) Soldier - Rick May (1940 - 2020) Sniper - John Patrick Lowrie (b. 1952) The Administrator - Ellen McLain (b. 1952) Miss Pauling - Ashly Burch (b. 1990) Multiple small roles - Nolan North (b. 1970) Ap-Sap - Stephen Merchant (b. 1974)

Both Klenberg's successor and predecessor as the Chief of Defence of the Finnish Defence Forces are interesting people. Jaakko Valtanen, ww2 vet (1925-2024) is still in a pretty good shape at 94 and is pretty known here. Valtanen is known for sending Finnish UN peacekeepers into the middle east and opposing the 60s hippie movement. Gustav Hägglund (born 1937) was a commander of UNIFIL, was involved in the arab-israeli conflict of 1978 and known for his hate towards overweight women, investing in a pyramid scheme in 2008 and hunting animals in Africa. First Chairman of the European Union Military Committee 2001-2004

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive
arghton replied to Catherine's topic in DeathList Forum
A mild case compared to many with autism, but it sure is easily noticed from his behaviour. Here's an interesting article about his life explaining how he was diagnosed in the 30s written four years ago: https://people.com/celebrity/donald-triplett-autisms-first-ever-patient-now-82-has-continued-to-grow/ -

Apparently recovering from vestibular disease and looks very frail http://kabochan.blog.jp/archives/41643202.html Probably one of the only remaining late 2000s meme animals. Maru is another, don't remember/know if there's others

Chief of Defence of the Finnish Defence forces from 1990 to 1994, Jan Klenberg (b. 1931) died at the end of last month aged 88. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Klenberg He wasn't as known as his predecessor Jaakko Valtanen (1925-) or his successor Gustav Hägglund (1937-) -
I'll replace the fifth and third one with Norwegian princess Märtha Louise becoming the Queen of the United Kingdom. She's currently the 84th in the line of succession to the British throne which may not seem a lot but she believes that she can communicate with angels and the dead so I mean, it's still a risk

This means that the only living senior member of Khmer Rouge is Khieu Samphan, aged 89. It's been just two years since Nuon Chea and Samphan were found guilty of genocide.

Yes, he announced it today.

Philip looked 99 years old 20 years ago and around 25 years ago said that "bits and pieces are already falling off me" so I'm suprised how he's still alive. Wouldn't be suprised if he outlives the queen but I'm betting he'll not make it to 100. -
1. Some nuclear power plant or army base somewhere explodes by accident 2. Philip, Duke of Edinburgh kills someone. Hopefully by accident. 3. Celebrities becoming vtubers (at this point i've run out of ideas) 4. Third world war 5. David Attenborough dies

What I'm afraid of is that Pervez Musharraf or Abdelaziz Bouteflika will be dropped from the list in 2021 because they aren't in the news a lot nowadays. Especially Bouteflika won't probably last a long time because of his health problems even though I've already seen some Algerian instagram accounts make memes about him being immortal.

Kabosu, dog known for the very popular "doge" picture and meme looks frail, is blind and probably has health issues judging on these pictures from her owner's blog http://kabochan.blog.jp/archives/41544260.html The blog is in Japanese though

I think Arnold Spielberg was my first hit. Hard to keep track of my own list and the lists of other people, so I'll just mention here if I see some people on a list or multiple lists die.

Was reading the posts from the first page. They're from 2011. Interesting that both George Johnson and Fred Sutherland are still alive, now 98 and 97. Edit: Apparently Sutherland died last year. Didn't check the wikipedia page but google mentioned that he'd still be alive. Darn
