    1. Jimmy Carter

Why does Debenedetti hate deadpoolers? During the last decade or something he's created a ton of these hoaxes, a very large amount of them being popular pool picks and deathlistees, I guess as they're old/ill the hoaxes might (and have) spread widely, Fidel Castro, Cormac McCarthy, Costa-Gavras, JPdC, Ratko Mladic, Desmond Tutu, one of the most recent ones was Pope Benedict XVI a few months ago but as far as I know that hoax died before it reached these forums.

DEAD 2. Chun Wong (74, wikidata) Obese actor/director in and out of hospital for years with falls and other ailments. However quite stable compared to the others. 3. World War II Veterans

Antti Luukkonen, Finnish WWII vet and at the time of his death one of the oldest living men in Finland, dead at 105. One of those vets often interviewed by media. There are two to four older, including two unidentified men born in 1914 and 1915 who might or might not be alive Mentioning Eero Blåfield, 101-year-old WWII vet, HIFK superfan, oldest member of the Blåfield noble family who I remember was in the news once over a decade ago due to his senior badminton career. Looks quite frail now

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Was just going to post this, same guy who a week ago urged people to evacuate to Russia but said "everything is under control". And known for this: Better keep an eye on the collaborators - the major pro-Russia political leaders Lyndon LaRouche's apprentice Nataliya Vitrenko, Yevhen Murayev, "Gauleiters" Galina Danilchenko, Konstantin Ivashchenko, Oleksandr Kobets, Illia Kyva and of course those guys who met Putin a while ago. I'm suprised Donetsk People's Militia commander Denis Sinenkov is still alive and I don't expect him to survive this war. Same for Saldo.

    Doctor Doctor

Archiater of Finland Risto Pelkonen looking quite decrepit in recent pictures: Not sure if the title "Archiater" is used anywhere else anymore (except the Vatican, the Pope's personal doctor is apparently called Archiater) but in Finland it's the highest honorary title awarded to a physician by the President. There's only one at a time, the title is always held until death and usually the Archiater is active until death. Risto Lauri Agathon Pelkonen has held the title since 1995 and is now 91. Not such an "iconic" holder of the title like Arvo Ylppö, father of Finland's public maternity and child health clinic system also known internationally for his research on preterm birth and infant mortality, but might turn out to be a good pick for those pools that allow less famous picks.

    Art For Death's Sake

Not dead, but Vojo Stanić, ancient painter of Montenegro will be 99 in a few months and seems quite frail, needs help holding a knife in this picture from February. Also smokes cigars daily. Known for his paintings with cafes, coasts, homes, streets etc with some surreal details in them. No idea how famous he is but he's had an English Wikipedia page since 2005 and is one of the most famous Montenegrin painters ever. Some quotes: I'm not in a hurry to the other world, and especially not to heaven, because in hell, probably, everything that is forbidden happens. So all my friends are waiting for me there. I love life and I'm sorry that I'm going to die. If it ever happens to me, and it looks like it will.

    Dying Off The Radar

Virpi Butt (later Lucrenzia Francesca Pandora Butt), competitor in the Finnish version of Gladiators in the 90s later known for killing, dismembering and eating two people with her boyfriend in 2002 and 2003 and carrying the head of the first victim around in a backpack died back in November 2021 at 49. Let loose from jail in 2019, from what I understand died in Southern Europe. Good riddance.

    Milan Kundera

Strong disagree with the "replace" part* - Kundera is very ill judging on V. Klaus' comments from April, was allegedly already terminally ill a few years ago and should not be dropped. *Unless he dies before 2023, in which case I agree. Lynne Reid Banks doesn't look like the picture of health (below a picture from a couple of months ago), but as far as I know isn't ill.

    The Happy Birthday Thread

Ugo Mifsud Bonnici KUOM, President of Malta 1994-1999 is 90 today. His political career started in the 1960s and he was elected to the House of Representatives in 1966. He worked on making Malta a Republic and as the Minister of Education and the Interior worked on the drafting of important legislation such as the Education Act, the Environment Act, the National Archives Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Promotion Act. Can't say much about his presidency as like in many other European countries, the President/Head of State is largely ceremonial. He's the third President of Malta to reach 90.
