arghton replied to InquilineKea's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I don't drink (too much), don't use drugs (the ones that cost too much), I usually try to avoid falls and getting run over by cars, bikes, scooters, unicycles, other vehicles. My blood test results were mostly fine a couple of months ago, I usually visit the doctor if I feel ill. -

New article (last week, behind paywall) on Otis Taylor, mentioned multiple times here: https://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/vahe-gregorian/article261494677.html As mentioned here before he's been battling parkinson's and dementia for over 30 years, kept alive with different kinds of tubes for the last six or seven years, unable to move. The actual news that his health has gotten worse during the last few weeks: Several weeks ago, friends expressed concern that Taylor’s health had taken a dire turn. That left us reflecting on his legacy even as we hold out hope that Taylor will be on the Hall of Fame’s 25-man senior semifinalist list to be released next week. -

That he's able to still make an appearance (and outdoors) and his legs aren't massively bloated is a good sign. He looked horrible on his 97th, looked horrible in the one from New Year and I was sure he won't make it to 98. He hasn't yet, still three months to go, now I think he'll make it. Both have declined in the last two years and Rosalynn's arms look dangerously thin in that picture.
