Yikes never realised that. One of my favourite moments in Doctor Who is at the end of that serial when Benton re-ages, tarnished a bit now.

After a few seconds of research it appears there was one... Actress Jean Conroy died about a month before the airing of her role in The Dalek Invasion of Earth (1964)

I can't think of anyone in the mainline show but Elisabeth Sladen passed before the airing of the final season of the Sarah Jane Adventures

I fear that is going to be a similar situation to what happened to Howard Attfield in 2007, who was also filming for Doctor Who as Donna's male parental figure before he died.

He also doesn't really appear that much in real lift anymore. I live in West Yorkshire and always used to see him on my local town street about 2 or 3 times a month. I don't think I've seen him at all since lockdown restrictions were lifted. I don't know him personally, this is just an observation.

Good to see them back but I'll admit that neither have aged quite so well IMO. Just have to wait to the episode to see how they're doing (hopefully Chibnall can pull some good writing and action out of his arse for once)

Yeah I did see something that said he had early signs of Alzheimer's, but as you said that's not a death sentence. (Take a look at Prunella Scales for proof)

I am very confused with Sir Michael Gambon being on the list. I haven't personally seen anything that might suggest he is seriously ill or anything, just early signs of alzheimer's.

Yeah that's what I thought especially when they're not including some big hitters like Pope Benedict and Glyniss John.

The 2021 list is now showing her dead and on her obituary it has her down as number 1 for 2022
