It's been over 2 years since I originally posted this chart, so I thought it was time for an update as there have been quite a few of developments. An Unearthly Child, The Edge of Destruction, Planet of the Giants, Mission to the Unknown, The Power of the Daleks, The Deadly Assassin are all down to the final surviving cast member (Carole Ann Ford for the first three, Edward de Souza for Mission, Anneke Wills for Power, and Tom Baker for Assassin). The Rescue most probably has only one living cast member (Maureen O'Brien) due to almost no information being known on guest actor Tommy 'Tom' Sheridan and that episode being his final IMDb credit. The Ultimate Foe no longer has any living guest cast, but both regulars (Colin Baker & Bonnie Langford) are still alive. Of the 5 serials with no living members of the regular cast there are at least a couple of the guest actor, confirmed to still be alive. I agree that he is a drop, he's still very active. If I remember rightly the hospitalisation was noted by someone who went up to him in the street for a photo and he told them that he'd just been in hospital. I don't think it was anything serious if he was out and about not long after.

The arguments this year about misses have been quite tedious but with the amount of drops the official list is going to have to make come January, I can imagine next year being much worse.

He'll be on my shadow list until he finally drops but at this point I don't see the point of trying to predict when he'll die, one day it'll happen but he's consistently survived deadlines (pun intended) for a decade and especially in the past 18 months.

Simon Fisher Becker, who played the fat friar in Potter no.1, is probably worth a mention as he's roughly the size of a small cruise ship, is in his early 60s and uses a mobility scooter to get around. He's still active (I met him at a convention last month) but, I can see him going in a similar way to Richard Griffiths in a few years time.

Nigel Lambert (IMDb) being reported as dead earlier this month. In Doctor Who he played Hardin in The Leisure Hive (1980) and voiced the 'Priest Triangles' in Flux (2021) as well as a number of Big Finish credits. Also amongst his many credits is voicing a computer in the pilot episode of Blake's 7. Also voiced the father of the Dolmio family in the TV adverts.

Maybe it's just personal interest because I'm with Gisooo in that it's been a horrible year. But all of the names who come to mind for BIG deaths are only really big for personal interests. In terms of most shocking Carl Weathers and Ian Lavender come to mind but both were in their 70s, so not really. Personally Susan Wojcicki is a big shock death but that was hardly front page news. Alexei Navalny is probably the closest to a internationally famous shock death, but being realistic the biggest shock is that it didn't happen 10 years ago. Major political deaths have been quite lacking, I'd argue Brian Mulroney is maybe the biggest. Off the top of my head OJ Simpson is possibly the most high profile death of the year so far, with his only competition being James Earl Jones or Donald Sutherland.

David Lawrence has just been on BBC News (link). He is to breathing quite heavily and his speech has quite clearly declined. It seems as though the disease has taken control quite rapidly considering it's only been 3 months since his diagnosis.

From the video it doesn't seem like it'll be an overnight thing, could be a quite drawn out decline over the next few weeks/months depending on how much treatment she gets/wants.

Thunderbirds are Gone 11/50 20th September 2024 English actor David Graham has died. Having appeared in minor TV roles since 1952, in 1960 Graham was one of five actors chosen for voicing characters in Gerry Anderson’s ‘Four Feather Falls’, marking the first collaboration between the pair. Throughout the 60s Graham worked with Anderson five times most notably on ‘Thunderbirds’ (and its two feature films), in which he voiced Gordon Tracy, Kyrano, Brains and most famously chauffeur Parker. In 2015 he returned for the show’s remake, to once again voice Parker. In 1963 Graham lent his voice to Doctor Who’s Daleks in their eponymous debut serial, he would voice them a further four times on TV and twice on the big screen. When the original Dalek story was colourised for the show’s 60th anniversary in 2023, Graham returned to provide updated voicework. In the early 90s he made regular appearances in BBC sitcom ‘So Haunt Me’ as Mr Bloom, the neighbour. In 2004 he began voicing Grandpa Pig in the children’s show ‘Peppa Pig’, a role he played until his retirement. Between 2009 & 2012 he narrated ‘Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom’ as well as voicing The Wise Old Elf. Graham officially retired in 2021 aged 95, but in December when he suffered a stroke he reportedly found returning to work was helping his recovery. David Graham died earlier today aged 99. He was making his third appearance on the Crowdsourced Deathlist, this year at no. 21

It's been a bad 12 months for recurring Doctor Who actors Richard Franklin, Michael Jayston, Cy Town, William Russell, Ysanne Churchman, Ian Gelder and now David Graham.

No, Jimmy Carter. Although I can see how you'd get the pair mixed up, they've got the same initials and both seem to hold the secret to eternal life.

I'm afraid that was my fault, I submitted it as a joke, but I wasn't expecting it to be accepted.

It's simply bad luck. None of picks are bad. Most of the deadpools are going strong. My personal shadow list is up to 17 hits now. There's a couple of names who I would consider misses (Frank Field, William Russell, Doherty) but it's a decent list.

I've just realised that of the 4 documented actors who've held the record for the longest gap between TV appearances playing the same character, 3 of them have died this year. Current record holder William Russell who had a gap of 57 years (1965-2022) playing Ian Chesterton in Doctor Who died in June Ysanne Churchman who held the record for 5 years with a gap of 43 years (1974-2017) playing Alpha Centauri in Doctor Who died in July Kenneth Cope who held the record for 3 years with a gap of almost 42 years (1966-2008) playing Jed Stone in Coronation Street died last week Philip Lowrie is now the only surviving record holder with a gap of almost 43 years (1968-2011) playing Dennis Tanner in Coronation Street.

Clio Maria Bittoni is my second hit in just as many days.

His big 100th birthday celebration was live-streamed by the Mormon church on Youtube, it's over 2hrs long but from skipping through he appears to be sat down the entire time. His big thank you speech (at 2 hours 2 mins 38 seconds) was prerecorded and although he seems slow he's speaking perfectly well, but maybe he isn't fit enough to speak live publicly for long periods of time anymore. He seems physically fine, there's a moment just before the video ends when he's throwing and kicking few balloons from his chair. I still think he's got nothing to worry about.

I feel sad about JEJ's death but I'm also quite pleased that I'm not going to spend the game without a hit like last time.
