I wish these dates were listed somewhere.... October 13th (I believe it is free)

We are essentially guaranteed to have Phillips + Barker (had similar thought with AL) before the end of the year....question is which one first! I'll go with Barker.

@tracy scares me. Whenever I see a post by them I know there is a good chance it's a death that will impact me. Not many users have that honor. Kudos

The obvious selection no one is saying.... Betty White
-
Seems like a mistake that other 'grab' sites are replicating. Death hoax etc.
-
It would seem this 'sweepstake' will take possibly decades no? What happens when the amount of names is less than the participants, first come first serve? A lot of options with many different birth years....In the same vein of the oldest state leaders, except the ages vary widely here. When does it end?

End of the Lynn is by far the best one. Good one @Lafaucheuse

(Wiki) Jesús del Muro has died age 84. A member of the Mexican National team in 1958, 62, 66.

I think we have a range of 3 to 5 left. There has been a few obvious selections that have made it quite far, they won't all make years end.

October 5th

Angela Lansbury...

Jack Thomas has now died. Picked in here multiple times...
-
(Wiki) Douglas Kirkland died October 2nd at the age of 88. A famous photographer who had been mentioned on here once or twice. If I'm not mistaken, he was a former DDP pick

He isn't. That requires giving up power. Day-by-day he is backing himself further into a corner. We are now at the point where he either gets overthrown, a major proxy war breaks out (already happening in a way), or Nuclear options/WW3. The question now is how serious will he take the recently annexed portions. The U.S and its allies will keep supplying arms that will be used in 'Russian' territory. Does Putin consider that a direct act of war or will he keep the status quo assuming eventually he'll win. That's the major question. World War 3 is unlikely as Russia has no major allies in this fight. I'm inclined to think he'd only use nuclear weapons if he was literally at the end of the plank. It's more likely we see another Korea, Vietnam, Middle East, etc.

Harris must have Dementia then aye? Good punt next year I reckon

I've said for a while now that neither Trump nor Biden will run in 2024. The Dems will lose the House, keep the Senate. Not sure what you consider bad or good via the midterms
-
Someone over the average lifespan in the U.S and also around the average age of deaths for modern President's would be a good pick in a few years? No shit.
-
Y'all get a hard-on by this or something?
-
(Wiki) Sue Mingus, the widow of Charles Mingus, died Sept. 24th at the age of 92. She outlived her husband by 43 years.

Can't have a hit with every famous person I'd say you'd be lucky to have 2 from all those names. Jack Nicholson and Joanne Woodward are my guesses

I've been 'defending' Biden for a while. It's irritating because I don't even like the guy. Have you seen what Trump has said? If that wasn't a joke, which it was, and showed mental decline...What does 99% of what Trump spews out equal? How can we jump on what Biden says and just ignore Trumps remarks? Biden is an old man who is in one of the toughest jobs in the world. The fact he has daily events and speeches likely makes his blunders worse, but doesn't equal anything significant. He's clearly fine. There are no sudden cancelations of events, there are no week-long disappearances, etc. The only reason people jump on him is for political clout. That being said, he's clearly too old for a second term and likely was for the first term. As is Trump.

Got your wish. Just different user! Louise Fletcher is a unique hit

This is stupid on multiple levels. 1. The forum is not a historical website, who cares if deaths from a year are in a catalogue or not. The DL archives/Stats page do what can be done in that regard. As mentioned, Wiki has a page for that. 2. Who decides whether a death is noteworthy or not? Do we post every death whether they have a Wiki or not? Do we post a death that was only relevant for an obscure Deadpool? 3. This thread, no matter what it was used for in the past, is where deaths are posted that don't have a home elsewhere. This is a perfect use for it. Many deaths don't need a dedicated thread, so lump them in here. Quite honestly, even that is mainly for the search function. 4. Cross-posting wouldn't be needed if we didn't have so many useless threads that serve the same purpose. I understand if someone cross-posts a death of a state leader in multiple threads, as it is covered in multiple threads! That doesn't mean it needs to be here as well. 5. I don't have anything against those arguing one way or another for this, but it's a bit ridiculous. This site is cluttered by members and threads alike. Let's not make it worse, I'll continue to 'facepalm'

What is a QO? Some names might be obscure.
