Or presumably that we bang on about someone so much that we get higher up the Google list? Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! Paul McCartney's a wan*er! etc....

Oh well, pardon me....had I but known.....

Who's Paul Hunter? I've got a mate called Matt Hunter, but I don't think hundreds of people are going to give a monkeys if he pegs out.
-
"Probably..."??????? You mean you know the names of two of them??????????

I'm still trying to work out why the "guest" who started this dreadful thread thinks that people on the list are dying more slowly because he hasn't heard of them... Also I can understand a Yank not knowing who Clare Rayner and Biggs are but not knowing who Botha was is just ignorant. Or American. I just hope someone on the list (or at least decently famous) pegs out soon so we can improve the quality (and relevance) of recent chat. Bring back the Emelyn week, I say! Actually that's given me an idea...

Ohgodohgodohgod.....

Sorry the last one was me (not logged on....) Or you could have have stuck a pump in it and turned it into a water feature....

Who said the Dutch don't understand irony....

Maybe we could have some famous Morris Dancers as well....

Regarding the slow rate of clog-popping this year, isn't it one of those statistics/probability things that it's just as likely for them all to drop dead on the 31st December as for them to die at an even distribution through the year? Presumably slightly more likely since they will be older... Maybe someone with even less of a life than me could perform an analysis of past years' results to see if there is trend for more to go at particular times of year - eg is it the heat or cold that does 'em in? Or is it more sinister and they really do always go in threes, as I've always averred.... (I don't think I've ever used the word "averred" before. Rather good.)

They probably just waste the rest....

I was right....

I would think most list members can afford air-con...

I see from Wikipedia that the young lady was performing an extraordinary (and, I should think, rather eye-watering) act with two gentlemen when she contracted the virus. Frankly I'd have thought the guys involved would have to be pretty "comfortable" with each other to do something which involved getting so up close and personal with another chap....which makes you wonder whether one of them may have caught the virus from a spot of extra-curricular pillow-biting of their own....

Has the devious old bastard snuffed it?

RIP Donaldson, joker, satirist, lecher, pimp, writer, impressario and adulterer - get to Heaven and there's hope for us all... Here's a pound towards your cause Telegraph Obit

I see the latest Woodward/England whinge-fest is now in full cry. Apparently they (ie Alisdair Campbell) put together a 20 minute slide-show bitch about the O'Driscoll tackle for their press conference. Might have been a better use of your time if you'd looked at why you got utterly stuffed. Oh yes, I remember: it was selecting a bunch of geriatrics and has-beens who peaked 2 years ago (and who scraped home in the World Cup with classic English miserable, negative rugby plus a freak who could kick 15 yards further than anyone else). Maybe next week he'll play Campbell and this bloody lawyer he brought along at centre.... Stop the bloody whinging and put the bloody Welsh on! OK - I'll go and have a lie down....
-
Well anyway - the tw*t got what he deserved RIP Lions Tour 2005.....

I mean she thinks Woodward is an uphill gardner, not Henson, for God's sake...She's got this complex theory that Gavin turned down the bald one's loathsome advances and that's why he's been dropped. But then she's from Glamorgan....

Funny you should say that - the wife thinks he's one of the "happy" people...

Yes - it's certainly like sports persons (not sure about authors) - I suppose because unlike say politicians, military people etc they tend to become famous quite young and also to be pretty fit and healthy by definition (and unlike your average drunk writer...) so they seem to be around for ages.

I thought the Mercury/Gemini and Apollo ones were worth a look - or at least maybe the Apollos that actually landed on the moon. I suppose Glenn is the obvious one of the Mercury Seven (and yes I saw and read The Right Stuff too!) - being oldest and most famous. Never realised Shepherd was dead.

If the constitution were to come into force (ho ho...) then the EU would get a "legal personality" ie it could enter into treaties, contracts, sue people, appear on Big Brother etc. Not sure whether legal personalities qualify for the Deathlist tho. Could have put Enron and GM Rover and the Tory Party on the list, I suppose...

I still bet he goes this year - I told you he should have been on the list!
