Oh I agree there has to be a limit to any medical intervention but I still think all the stops will be pulled out to keep him going for as long as possible. It always amazes me that an individual can be so vital to a countrys stability that he has to be kept alive at all costs. If it were you or me our relatives would be nagged to turn the machines off within a week because they 'need the bed'.

Highly doubtful IMHO, the months he's spent prone and mentally inactive are bound to have impacted on his lungs (where congestion and gradual depletion of the performance of said lungs will be a problem), his heart similarly is pumping blood round a body that gets no exercise meaning potential clots and congestive failure can only be held at bay by drug treatments. Assuming he's lost weight his heart will have a slightly easier time but it's still a small gain in a situation of major loss. Other vital organs can survive more easily than heart and lungs in this state but the tonnage of medication he'll need to stabilise him could gradually build up to the point that his liver and/or kidneys are also suffering. Yeah, keep him in the top 50. Yes well ok, all good points but I suspect that he has the best medical team in the country making sure he's kept in the best condition possible. Either way he's not going to be allowed to die until its considered politically safe to do so in which case we could still be arguing the point in 10, 20, 30 years.

I suspect he's lost a few pounds by now. Being on life support usually means a liquid diet fed intravenously. You can't down many cream cakes that way. If anything he's probably in better shape than he was when he had is stroke (relatively speaking).

Popped on to see if Ike had made the list this year, surprised he hadn't to be honest. Anyway back to the subject matter. Disappointed to see there is still no update but delighted with the alternatives. Very witty indeed.

Is there anyone Liz Taylor hasn't had?

    I'm used to that.

Well still no details on the home page and this thread also seems to have died. Is it because everyone is so fed up by the lack of success they just can't be arsed anymore? Looking forward to next years deathlist can I make the following suggestions. Prince Philip, Michael Winner and Elizabeth Taylor.

True. But then, even Saddam Hussein would be better than Mugabe. I just don't understand why nobody's shot Mugabe yet. If he's that bad (and there is no doubting he is) then why hasn't anyone got the courage to take a pot shot? You see this what I just don't get. It doesn't seem to matter how bad people are treated or how evil the people in power are they always (almost) live a long life and literally get away with murder. It just doesn't make sense to me at all.

    Tammy Faye Messner

Why would they do that. she was quite well off wasn't she? Surely money can be found for a memorial from her estate.

    Fidel Castro

Is this informant the same person who has allready reliebly taught you English? Fidel Castro is very sick. His death will happen within few months at most. I'm almost at the stage of wanting to go over there and shoot the man myself, just to shut moron up. One does wonder what moron will do with his life once Fidel does actually die. Maybe he'll finally get one.

I doubt she'll get as much as a passing mention to be honest.

Sad but not unexpected. Read the mini obit on the beeb and was surprised to find he enjoyed fishing. I had him down as a poker man myself.

    That's really sad news.

    Fidel Castro

Oh do be quiet you silly little person. All it means is that her health was worse than his. They weren't even blood relations so how can her death even remotely predict his?

    Kurt Waldheim

Two down, 48 to go. At least this time I had heard of him. Maybe he is the start of a summer rush.

    Fidel Castro

    Awww fiddlesticks! Spoke too soon.

My goodness he is barely recognisable. What a shame as he used to be a larger than life character. And I agree with a previous poster, much less than two years. Will be surprised if he makes it to Christmas.

    Fidel Castro

He/she's been (hopefully) banned for posting complete crap. Excellent news.
  20. Gwynhafyr

    Fidel Castro

Totally agree with that. I suspect that Sharon has been dead for sometime but no one has bother to tell us.
  21. Gwynhafyr

    Fidel Castro

Yep he's been all over Sky News today. Looks quite perky and doesn't seem in any hurry to shrug off this mortal coil as yet, which I'm sure is annoying the hell out of a certain predictive poster. Bit worrying really as we are 6 months in and only have one hit so far. Either it is going to be a very bad year or we are coming up to a flurry of activity.
  22. Gwynhafyr

    Fidel Castro

Looks like hes pulling a sickie:- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/6610369.stm Castro will be gone before summer 2007 begin! He shall Burn in hell! THE MIAMI ORANGE BALL PARTY WILL BEGIN AND CASTRO'S DEATH WILL SADDEN MORALES AND CHAVEZ! Well he'd better bloody well hurry up then or that'll be another of your predicted dead (pardon the pun) lines passed won't it. I hope you don't do tarot for a living.
  23. Gwynhafyr

    Damn, won't anyone die?

Agreed. Everyone seems to be in surprisingly good health.

    Ariel Sharon

A government source saying he is dead eh? He probably is dead but for security reasons are not announcing it... I hate to be the bad news fairy but a report today says he has started to blink one eye. Looks like he is still with us and improving (if you can call moving an eyelid improving).

Glad this has now been done and yes I agree it is a very, very slow start for this years death list. However do not fret, Easter is nearly upon us and we always seem to get a flurry of famous deaths around this time.
