I say va te faire foutre. A chaque fois que je lis chacun de tes posts, tu m'ennerves! It's like a broken record. The only thing that ever seems to change is the date - I haven't been here long but I am guessing this humourous guest has being the same thing for a while now, yes? Yes and it is getting very boring.

And please let's not forget his magnificent performance as Captain Keene in Carry on up the Khyber. Oh yes he was quite good in that and not a trumpet in sight!
-
I vaguely remember the Dr. Who stint but cannot place him in House of Horror.
-
I found him quite entertaining especially in Record Breakers. However his talents deserted him when he tried to act. I remember several toe curling appearances in various Carry On films.
-
No you are not wrong. He spent years in smokey clubs and pubs when starting out but never smoked himself. I believe it was his illness that raised awareness of the dangers of breathing other peoples smoke.
-
Quite right, though a lot of the time the cancer is the result of long term exposure to other peoples smoke. Sometimes it just happens with no obvious reason.

What a load of codswallop! By your reckoning we are all very near to death. I know that castro is reportedly on his deathbed! Castro has been on his deathbed now for at least a year. When he does finally go no one will be in least bit surprised.
-
Thank you both.

Well I've never heard of her but then I haven't heard of a lot of people. I those of us in the UK are less likely to know Evangalists or wives of Evangalists than you in the USA.

Well actually I have. My sister is undergoing treatment for cervical cancer and I have been treated for breast cancer. Recently I have been diagnosed with chronic Pulmonary Hypertension and have just been forced to quit work. My future is uncertain to say the least. However I have a sense of humour and find this site very entertaining. I don't join in the discussions very often but love reading them. If you don't like the site then don't come here. Simple!

So true, I passed George Melly in the street once and he din't recognise me either. Obviously I avoided the kidnapping charge but it was a close run thing. Lol! Yes very droll.
-
Except Robert Mugabe; might be quite handy if his marbles dropped to the point that he started babbling about where the bodies were buried and where he salted all the money away. Well obviously there are going to be exceptions. I can think of a few myself.

Or June, July, August............................
-
I'm just wondering why the front page is still saying 'details to follow' next to the announcement. Usually these things are up pretty quickly. I'm just curious
-
Sad also to learn George is off the 'gentleman's relish'. Things must be bad. I saw an article in the Mail on Sunday this weekend which told of the time when he passed his wife Diane in the street and didn't even recognise her. When she explained who he was he became very vocal asking passes by to save him from being kidnapped. It is all very sad. No one should have to go through this.

See I told you I hadn't heard of him So I take it his wines were aimed at the bottom end of the market, footballers and their wives etc. I read that reort about Inman being flamboyant. I also read that he never played Mr. Humphreys as 'gay'. And I'm the Pope.

We've waited almost three months of our first success of 2007 and it has to be someone I've never even heard off. Couldn't find any reports about him the the press or news bulletins either. Having said all that he might have been sidelined by the death of John Inman. The British media are so fickle. Do we report on an ancient Californian wine producer who no one in Britain (apart from wine experts) has heard off or everyones favourite gay salesman? Hummm... tough choice.

He collapsed on stage. I guess the ninety degree lights are to much for a 81 year old jazz jammer. By the way everyone, if it's not allready reported an 81 year old blues legend BB King is hospitalized in Texas. Here is the link. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070126/ap_en_mu/people_bb_king Wife is blaming it on some new meds he's on and says he'll be back on stage for Feb 10th. I thought we were about to get out first hit there. Only 4 days until the end of Jan, are we going to get a death free month?
-
I'm fed up of waiting to be honest. He and Castro should have gone ages ago but they just won't let go. Maybe they are scared of what is waiting for them on the otherside.
-
27th May 2007 I bid February 2nd, no reason I just like the date.
-
But he isn't dead yet. I'm not convinced.
-
I must admit I honestly thought he was dead already. Please to hear he's still going strong. Ohps! I probably shouldn't have said that, I have a tendancy for putting the mockers on things.
-
In a bag? In a suitcase? In a box? In a laundry basket? In a back pack? Fidel Castro was smuggled. You forgot coffin.
-
That could have been Sharon from Eastenders LMAO! Though at this rate it is more likely.
-
How do we know he isn't already dead and they are just waiting for a convenient time to announce it? Machines can keep a body going long after the brain has packed its bags and left.
