The Halifax ad with the Asian guy singing "I'm in to something good". Completely disingenuous - where in Britain is there a beach like? It has white sand, the sun is shining, the water is blue, and the people are not disgustingly fat and pale/sunburned, none of which can you find on an English beach. And it's not like the guy can have afforded a nice foreign holiday - any spare cash he had would have burned in the HBOS rights issue...

Mr Potato, I see your point but disagree. Is Mrs Thatcher the "former British Prime Minister" or the "British former Prime Minister"? maybe there should be some hyphens in there, but clearly the first one is correct (in my book anyway) - therefore I believe CT is correctly reported as Liberian ex-President - likewise with Ariel Sharon.

The Clapham Omnibus is not of course the criteria used for DL famousness - however when I recently filled a Clapham Omnibus with British newspaper journalists there was a slight majority in favour of reporting her death (should it happen) so her eligibility was confirmed. I'm pretty sure her death will be well reported in the UK media.
