    Ronnie Barker

Well pointed out Yeti. In fact there's an interview with big Ronnie on a BBC2 show tommorrow (Saturday) presumably covering...his life's work

    Larry Hagman

I am convinced Larry Hagman is still alive. Surely it'll take a loaded gun to finish him off

    Is Mr T Dead?

I think Willis sums it up well. Anyone else noticed the deaths of any vague celebrity look-a-likes being reported in their local newspapers? Dont bother letting us know.

    Is Mr T Dead?

Well Guest according to my research Mr T is 54 on 21 May this year and there seems to be no news of his death. Can we have details of your source?

More Ideas & Possibles for 2005

The most recent info available on this appears to be 12 Dec when Denis declared himself "on the road to recovery". Not a peep since then that I can find. Perhaps I'll leave Mr Stats to come up with some more up to date information from one of his many sources on the inside...

    Shane MacGowan

Sarah Im sure I speak for James G when I say that you have taken his post in the wrong context. DeathList.net is about predicting celebrities who might die during the next year rather than wishing them any harm. In any case he didnt get selected for year's list so we're all hoping he continues to have a long and "healthly" life.

Calm down Guests - lets not get overheated about the Man about the House!

    Dead Losses (2004)

Good tip DWB - these guys have been dropping like flies for years. The problem is identifying the one who's climbed his last mountain. I recall the deaths are usually completely unpredictable. Perhaps we should look for a pro cyclist whos clearly been taking drugs... [hasty research] Oh... that didnt narrow it down at all.

    Ian Huntley / Ma><ine Carr

Well Guest - I guess the daffy duck jumper discussion must have just scraped over the amusingness threshold.

    Dave Swarbrick (And Fairport Convention)

Two tracheotomies must be a tough break for any violinist...however I think Nigel Kennedy should also consider giving it a try. I'd volunteer to make the incisions myself! Swarbuck does sound like a reasonable prospect though. He appears to be amazingly famous for a dodgy old fiddler.

    Ian Huntley / Ma><ine Carr

...that would be an incorrect assumption

OK "scattyaly", "knibblet and stiffler" and "the honest man" its come to my attention that youre all the same person intent on having a discussion with yourself that is not relevant to this board. Could have been amusing but Im afraid it fails my amusingness test. You're welcome to post relevant postings but no more of this rubbish. You have been warned...

    Shaw Taylor

Interesting idea but as you say information is painfully difficult to come by I guess the subsequent success of CrimeWatch has been all too painful for Shaw so he is keeping a rather low profile. Im predicting plenty of obituaries though when he does keel over.

    Pat "bomber" Roach

OK Andy - I see that the Google links might cause confusion at times. If you didnt see the main www.deathlist.net page then you may not have appreciated the context of the messages. The site is basically a prediction site of celebrities who might die in the next year and is entertaining to some - whether you feel that they have a twisted sense of humour or not. I acknowledge that some people may find it in poor taste but then there's plenty of rubbish on the net and elsewhere in much poorer taste. I dont believe there's much benefit in any further discussion of the point or any other points youve raised. The primary objective of the site not to offend but its subject matter may occasionally cause offence to some. I'm not sure the same can be said of your original posting but we'll note you down as a disgruntled visitor and leave it at that.

Thanx for your well thought out comments Andy. Although its a little unusual - you have unfortunately missed the point of DeathList. You will note that there have been discussions about Ian Huntley/Ma><ine Carr, Sadaam Hussein, Ian Brady etc etc. I didnt see your complaints when we suggested that those chirpy characters might be candidates to die in the near future. Anyway the site was Guardian "Site of the Day" a few years ago so it must be ok Dont you think there's some irony in you going to the effort of posting to the board to call us sick bastards and sad w**nkers?? Thanks for your contribution and enjoy the rest of your wholesome life!

I have a signed photo from Ronnie

    Surely we're talking Cowboy Ronnie?
  19. Grim Reaper

I have a signed photo from Ronnie

Well I'd make a substantial charitable donation to get hold of Ronnie's signed death certificate Now back to chapter 2 of "Selling on Ebay for Dummies"...

    Chhouk Rin

DWB On the basis that none of the Death List committee could name him or, its appears, had heard of he does not past the fame test for Death List. I have a hunch that his death may be reported in the English newspapers but only one of those tiny paragraphs in the international section. A good rule of thumb for the fame test is that the celeb must warrant a full obituary in at least one UK broadsheet newspaper. Id be very surprised Chhouk Rin gets that. Hope this helps GR

    Ian Huntley / Ma><ine Carr

Scattaly - although it may appear otherwise, the rights and wrongs of the death penalty and the potential failings of the British penal system are not the discussion topic here. We were in fact trying to establish the liklihood that either of the delightful Soham couple might not survive 2004. Both have a good chance we concluded - although should your proposed "little chat" become a reality we might well change our opinion.

    Stephen Hawking

I was partcularly surprised to learn that the good professor also has an ex-wife...and three kids by her! Frankly my mind hasnt boggeled this much since the "Phil Spector pulling a gun on Stevie Wonder" thread. Where does he meet all these women?...What chat up lines does he use??...What tone of voice did he use to tell his first wife he was leaving her???

Id like to think there will be as much fuss as this when Clive Dunn finally departs
  24. Grim Reaper

    Where [was] Kurt Vonnegut?

Well I did a bit of research - quite a character, a bit of an artist and in his senior year too. No news on his health though so I have to presume its good. He might just pass the famousness test but I admit to not having heard of him before. One for the candidate database I think.

    The Great Escape

In fact of the top ten in the cast of The Great Escape seven are dead and three still with us - so youre score is probably better descibed as 7/10. Sorry Stats - hope Im not encroaching on your territory...
