That's all very well but surprisingly six gruelling fights (and five defeats) at the hands of Sugar Ray Robinson seems to have had the opposite effect to what you would think on Jake LaMotta. Every year, I'm in his corner insisting he stays on the list but he keeps coming out for another round. The exception that proves the rule is bullshit maybe...

I note that Prof Claude Levi-Strauss is celebrating his 95th birthday today. He was on the 2002 list but I think he deserves another chance for 2004. In all the years of Deathlist we've never successfully picked an anthropologist so I reckon its about time we got one! Oh and hes French too - so thats a bonus!

What are you wibbling about? He is actually listed as "Expired" if you click on his name on the front page. Some mistake, obviously. Oh, I see. That's an error; AFAIK mr Havelange is still alive. Unfortunately I can't fix that. I'll take up the matter with the person who can. regards, Hein Glitch now fixed GR

Thank you for delivering Ronnie's message, Critical Divide. Even in his passing, only Ronnie could still have a cheeky word for us. He has provided us with some wonderful entertainment over the years, even though I'm sure his days have been hard going for a long time. I hope he would appreciated the front page write up. RIP Ronnie!

An snippet of an interview with Keith Richards probably from the early 70s: 1:31:25 into the show: http://youtu.be/z2W1S6decxs?t=1h31m25s Who is this guy from "Underground" in England? Did he steal the idea for DeathList many years before it was invented? Sadly for him, all these years later, he's still not had a result from his number 1 or 2

All those years and we never got so much as a peep out of Clive Dunn. Good work Ronnie for continuing to take DeathList celebritism to a new level!

Let's hope his 2012 cover version of Dylan's " " is wishful thinking, although I have to admit he doesn't look like an ailing 93 year old in the video

It is possible that deathlist.net might become inaccessible on 23 December as I am trying to get the domain renewed and also transfer it. At the moment it doesn't look like everything or anything is going to happen in time. If it goes down hopefully it should be back soon Apologies for any inconvenience Season greetings anyway! GR

Sid will be sadly missed indeed My favourite Sidism was something like "Taylor's dancing like a monkey at a banana festival". An original without doubt.

Or could this mean there is a chance of jumping to 7 hits? I can't recall if the unwritten rules specifically forbid a candidate from dying twice.

A disappointing science update from Reuters: "Under conditions where doctors are doing absolutely everything they can to keep you going, it's actually quite hard to die."
