If Castro died before Christmas it would be very sad. He's not even on this year's deathlist. How could Papa Fidel bite the dust without being properly recognized on deathlist? Imagine if Reagan was left off deathlist 2004 and how deprerssing that would have been. Castro, don't die on us until we can get your name on deathlist '07!

I disagree. Yes, I think his health condition is a bit exaggerated whenever there's a new case presented against him. However, he's still old, and he is legitimately ill. I don't think he's going to die tomorrow, or even in the next month. But I can't be sure what's going to happen between now and December 2007. If deathlist can find 50 people next year that are gauranteed to die, then by all means keep Pinochet off. Otherwise, keep him on because he does have a good chance of dying.

Fidel Castro might die before Christmas.

Hey thanks man, if I had the money I'd love to get a copy of his book signed. The site seems awesome, I'll have to check out the interviews and such.

Farah Fawcett has cancer. She's 59 and has had an extensive history of drug abuse. Think she might be a good choice for deathlist?
-
I'd laugh if one of his doctors came out and said, "Yeah, this was all exaggerated so he could avoid prosecution."

All right, I'm assuming we're going to have Castro on the 2007 deathlist. But since his current condition is being kept secret by the Cuban Government, he could die and we wouldn't know about it for a while. I doubt the Cubans could keep the death of Castro a secret for too long, but still, what if the guy is already dead, or will die in the next few weeks, but his death isn't revealed until 2007?

Well, now that he got his bail I guess the General isn't going to be checking out anytime soon. I'm sure he'll have a quick and healthy recovery and won't have any medical concernes until the next time someone wants to slap him with a lawsuit.

That they would be. I've taken your advice and signed up on DDP.

I can't speak for the Deathlist, but I can imagine some of the names you mention are relatively obscure (although Brett Somers rings a bell). Best to try DDP, where they'll have anybody...... P.S. Thanx for the Kervokian tip..... Just out of curiosity, which ones seem obscure? And yes, I did go to DDP and I've submitted all those names to my list. Bob Barker, Charles Nelson Riley, Dorothea Tanning, and Leonora Carrington. I'll look on Wikipedia... Dorothea Tanning and Leonora Carrington were two artists who haven't been heard of much since the 50's. On second thought, chances are they don't qualify. Despite Carrington being born in England, she probably wouldn't receive any coverage. Scratch those two. You must forgive me, I'm working on an art major and an art history minor and sometimes I forget these people I'm reading about aren't exactly well known. As for Bob Barker, he's been the host of the American gameshow "The Price Is Right" for 35 years and finally in 2007 he's retiring, he'll be 83. I'm guessing the fact that he's retiring might not be exactly easy for old Bob, and seeing his wife died years ago what does he have to look forward to at home? Perhaps he'll be so depressed he dies. If he died there would be much media coverage of his death here in America. The media made a big deal out of it when he announced his retirement. As for Charles Nelson Riley, once again he was on another American game show, "The Match Game", along with Brett Somers. Brett has been ill with cancer for sometime. Well, since my first two artists probably don't make it, what about Lucian Freud? He's the grandson of Sigmund Freud and considered one of the most important figure painters in England. He'll be 84 on the 8th of December. He painted this controversial portrait of Queen Elizabeth: I wonder if he has one of old Maggie T sitting around that's equally as beautiful as the queen?

Can I be a nitpicker and say, "You forgot Prescott Bush!" Ah Prescott, the man who founded the infamous "Bush Dynasty". Fortunately he died long before he could see what an idiot his grandson turned out to be.

Pinochet gets bail, Read Here.

I think Albert Hofmann should be removed. He looks to be in good health, and his wife is still alive too. For all we know LSD has given him a longer lifespan than normal (you have to wonder). I say we bring in Kevorkian, Mugabe, Ian Smith (Rhodesia), Castro, Brett Sommers, Bob Barker, Charles Nelson Riley, Dorothea Tanning, and Leonora Carrington. But that's just me. "In a recent interview in ABC News, Kevorkian's lawyer stated that Kevorkian is terminally ill with Hepatitis C, which he contracted during research into blood transfusions and is expected to pass away within a year. In light of this he has applied for a pardon, parole, or commutation by the parole board or Governor Jennifer Granholm." --Wikipedia. I think Dr. Death needs to be on deathlist for sure. It sounds only fitting.

erm...................... don't you mean deathlist.net BTW, welcome aboard Yes, I do mean .net. Oh well, everyone makes mistakes. Thanks for the welcome. themaninblack you're not alone, I think we all have a few people we wouldn't mind Rummy mentioning––including himself.

Jimmy Carter still seems quite healthy, although he did look very tired when he appeared with Larry King the other day. George H.W. Bush also looked quite healthy in recent photos from last month I should have figured they were doing all right. If nobody is talking about their health, they must be in good health. Has anyone ever heard of the Curse of Tecumseh? Or the Zero Factor it's sometimes called? Every president elected in a year ending in zero has died in office, with the exception of Reagan, but people say when he was shot he died for a second and was brought back or whatever to defend the curse. George Bush was elected in 2000. Or was it Gore? Hmm, too bad both of them didn't die on the same day, that would sure give the curse some needed credibility.

Ideas and possibilities for 2007
Lothar_The_Lurker replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList Forum
See discussion here. regards, Hein Why thank you Hein. I'm new to this whole deathlist forum so I'm still trying to figure out where everything is. Other ideas I have for 2007: 1. Ian Smith, former Prime Minister of Rhodesia, 87 years old and looks to be in terrible health. 2. Brett Somers, former "Match Game" contestant, 82, has cancer, she denies it though (isn't denial the first stage of death?). 3. Charles Nelson Riley, another former Match Game contestant, 75. 4. Bob Barker, retiring host of "The Price is Right", 82, turns 83 on December 12, I predict retirement will have some serious mental effects on Mr. Barker. Perhaps he'll be driven into depression and die? 5. Robert Mugabe, paranoid President of Zimbabwe, 82, lives out his life in fear of assassination and poor health. 6. Dorothea Tanning, artist and former lover of Max Ernst, 96, has to die sometime soon. 7. Leonora Carrington, another artist and former lover of Max Ernst, 89. There are my ideas, enjoy. Hmm Lothar, Max Ernst wasn't your great uncle by any chance was he? If only he was. But then again, if he were it wouldn't have made much difference. The surrealist painter died a few years before I was born, on April Fools Day of all days, and one day before his birthday. I can only imagine how that went, Dorothea called up the grandkids and said, "Hey kids, grandpa's dead," only to get a response of, "haha, April Fools," then for Dorothea the respond, "No kids, this isn't a joke." Oh well, enough of me going on and on about dead/almost dead artists nobody cares about. -
I hope Pinochet is gone by the end of the night (well, day, it's 2 am where I'm at.) And maybe he'll take his buddy Suharto aka "I'm to sick to stand trial" with him. But, it's doubtful Suharto will fall in 2006. Oh well, I have a feeling Pinochet isn't going to be with us much longer.

So, Hofmann is 100 years old, and will be 101 in January. How much LSD has this guy taken? Maybe his "problem child" is going to result in him living an abnormally long life. I say we cut him out for 2007 unless there's reasons other than his age that he might soon die.

Welcome Lothar. A few more anecdotes like that and you'll be in the fireside chair. You must have been lurking for some time. Well lurk no more. Yes I have been lurking for some time. Since about the beginning of the year actually. I don't know why I waited so long to formally join, but now I'm here. Thanks for the welcome.

Dead Cheeta(h) the Chimpanzee(s)

I think having a chimp on deathlist would add more variety to the list. I'm all for Cheeta in 2007. -
Dead Cheeta(h) the Chimpanzee(s)
Lothar_The_Lurker replied to Coffin Filler's topic in DeathList Forum
I have an idea for deathlist 2007: Cheeta the Chimpanzee! Anybody ever hear of Cheeta? Cheeta starred in the Tarzan films and in a few other tv and movie productions. Currently, he's the worlds oldest chimp at age 74. Would deathlist be open to having a non-human on it's list?
