Do you mind, my parishoners quite like me.

    Football

Luton Town's life support amounts to allowing a mass exodus to keep the budget under control. Makes their recent revival a little hollow. Looking at what they've got left I reckon; 'you'll win nothing with kids.'

she Oops, I was looking at the picture when I typed the word 'he'.....erm, on second thoughts I'll stop digging when I'm already in the hole, eh?

    Derby Dead Pool 2008

It ain't over till it's over.....or summat. Though I'll admit to looking in awe at a team that scores - on average - once every 4.5 days. Superb deadpooling TMIB.

Ama Sumani, would probably be a DDP scorer in 2009, if - by any miracle - he lives that long.

    Ask A Deathlister

I'm struggling to explain it properly myself and I know a bit about animals behaving sexually. Not an expert on dogs, mind. Our best guess in the office is a combination of reasons, firstly a dog's central nervous system is similar to human but not identical, however it does have erogenous zones other than the genital area and would derive some pleasure from light friction on the nipples if female. So it might be a mistake to assume the movement is exactly the same as a male dog rubbing its penis on a leg. Secondly, dogs spend a lot of time playing and rehearsing moves, like pouncing and grabbing rubber balls. In reality they use the same instincts and physical skills that could be employed to trap and kill. Therefore sexual behaviour involving anything rhytmic would be a rehearsal for the steady pumping of real sex. Female dogs push and shove during sex as well. So its fair to look at this in the context of the other 'playing' done by female dogs and see it as one more type of action preparing them for demands of the 'real' world. Go well, and leave your leg out!

    The Dead Of 2008

I made the effort to send OoO links to news stories with pictures where Ian McNicol, Rachel Jones and a couple of others were concerned. Still amazed I pulled Jones as a unique pick mind, since she got sizeable coverage in the Daily Mirror. Mebbe teams picking obscurities could be - like - obliged to present such links as well to make OoO's work easier next year.

The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous

Bruno man, just say it. I've never heard of loads of the picks in the 2029 names listed on DDP either. Dooce, for example, was a new one on me. Impressed to see so many teams get unique picks in such a crowded deadpool. Win or lose, we all stand to be educated.

Like awesome, Dude!! Some great teams and some stunning names this year; top marks to Croaker De'ath and the Prognosticators for team name, IMHO.

Reet, the engine in the Marywheels is ticking over, whilst the rest of the country hopes for giant killing in the cup the Giants of Carlisle are fixing to kill bottom of the table Port Vale this afternoon, nothing can go wrong, can it? Be seeing yers!

    The Hartlepool Deadlypool

It's mainly looking good when I cruise the site, doubtless the fine tuning - like last year's scores and the addition of a few avatars will follow in due course. Oh aye, and a fair percentage of the picks dutifully dying to keep the competition alive, that's coming too, right?

Barry Reckord playwright, scriptwriter and - once or twice - an actor. Now very ill and not helped by living unhappily back in his native West Indies, according to his former lover Diana Athill.

    The Dead Of 2008

He's dead. (The dad that is) Anyone pick him? Died before Christmas, so no points for this year. DWB Ah... Despite posting the original link I didn't pick him. There are 2,029 picks coming up on the DDP, so it's entirely possible one of them is Peter Williams.

    The Hartlepool Deadlypool

Whatever, we're all 'joint' until some of the picks die. Speaking of which; that's a lovely picture of Aussie actress Emily Perry on the site but I have a hunch that Grobler's Stiff Ones have selected another Emily Perry, i.e; the 100 year old Torquay born gal who played Madge Allsop.

    Ronnie Biggs

Probably the most solid information we've had in the last couple of years. Glad I missed him off my recent deadpool entries.

    Derby Dead Pool 2008

With that tonnage of traffic and clear evidence that many involved are erudite intelligent sorts, you might be able to get sponsors for 2009!! Your work is hugely appreciated by everyone but the 2,029 celebs.

All Quiet on the Amanda front

I went into the doldrums having not seen you for so long a while and then went into reclusion for------ YIPES------ some 7 monthes (more or less) during which time you returned. Will you be back soon? (I asked the mirror reflection as well but got no response). BRUNO!! Stay awhile and tarry. Good to see you back.

Aye, respect NAP. A good job done in double quick time. Nice to see a pristine deadpool just waiting for the first score. I'm joint top, wa-hay!
