Suggesting he might not die, like, right away.

I agree, but....a fart can only exist when there's sufficent "pressure-build". Is super-compressed methane heavier than equal bodyt mass??? these questions need answering.... The pressure build in a human, or other animal, anus is nowhere near 'super compression' in scientific terms. I'd understand 'super-compression' to mean a state near to producing chemical changes in the gas or the state of the gas.

Some of those suspected to be D B Cooper are still alive. The FBI consider he died when he jumped but it's not certain. Just about possible he could still be alive. Mebbe the FBI are thinking of the film rights if he is.

In business terms that's a well established core activity with soundly established elements of diversification and innovation. It'll be worth noting how far the HPDP picks differ from the DDPs since HPDP has the same qualifying criteria fame wise but rewards careful picking.

Christodoulos had been wall to wall hereabouts for weeks before I made that crack and a few others obviously got it at the time. Incidentally, re Trudi, you could always rely on others on this site to post her death. She's not that much of a 'local' joker and she was on Grobler's DDP team last year so she's got form.

Get with the programme BS.

Aye, respect Miser. Good call, fortune favours the brave and all that.

Seen Any Good Films Lately?

Happy New Year OSP. Hell, I hadn't realised they'd done sequels but the IMDB lists 3. Which must mean enough chumps shelled out for the first two to make the 1985 movie sellable. -
Maureen Nolan, matriach of the singing sisters, or summat.

The credits roll for GP Sippy, I'm guessing somewhere in the 350 odd teams there will be DDP points awaiting this news. BBC report

For the benefit of our American readers this is Sykes' Wiki page. Makes it clear he was working throughout 2007, and his wife is still alive. I read his autobiography last year from which it's obvious the man has a monster ego. Age may be against him, but he'll fight to keep death at bay, I reckon.

If I'm honest when it comes to news reports of deaths it's not the famous ones that really caught me. The mass deaths at football matches though, especially Hillsboro and Bradford made me think, mainly because I'd been in old stands and standing on cramped and fenced terraces. Loads of people going to matches were aware of the dangers, those deaths were as preventable as the assassinations of the famous or the accident that saw off Diana.

Does this include some ringers from the Maryport Parish Council? It's Maryport TOWN Council. FFS whad'ya take us for, rural bumpkins or summat? Since there are others of the same fleeting fame stripe - like Terry Lubbock - already nominated on this year's DDP I'd say we're in for the usual open and intense competition as we strive to emulate the achievements of the admirable FF. Mind, I got fifth, I think. First time out as well.

One of 25 teams entered this year lines up as follows: Ten Stiff Bowling 2008 1 – Christodoulos 2 – Tomoji Tanabe 3 – Edna Parker 4 – Billy Graham 5 – Henry Allingham 6 – Rt Rev Ian Cundy 7 – Trudi Endersby 8 – Charlton Heston 9 – Ruby Muhammad 10 - Leopold Englietner
-
Eejit, you've picked Terry Lubbock. If he carks and Ian McNicol continues to breathe I'll be kicking myself, I thought long and hard over those two, figuring a pair of similar and marginal cases on the same team couldn't be good.

Hefty article in today's Daily Mail which is fairly open about the damage to his liver and the efforts he's making to stay healthy. That level of liver damage could be a problem - however well he looks after himself from now on - in his fifties. He is a top bloke though, so I wish him well.

Carkers Convention 2008 line up: 1 – Rabbi Philip Berg 2 – Christodoulos 3 – Rt Reverend Ian Cundy 4 – Trudi Endersby – JOKER 5 – Patricia C Dunn 6 – Betty Ford 7 – Billy Graham 8 – Charlton Heston 9 – Dawn Hughes 10 – Rachel Jones 11 – Winnie Langley 12 – Sam Manekshaw 13 – Ian McNicol 14 – Debbie Nelson 15 – Sydney Pollack 16 – Yitzak Shamir 17 – Ariel Sharon 18 – Sargent Shriver 19 – Tomoji Tanabe 20 – Don Wittman

Aye, CT let me down badly on my first CPDP team. But I applaud the bravery of the pick.

The Deathlist Christmas Special!

Reet, there are ales to be strangled, friends to meet and a full-on party to be had so: Happy New Year!! To one and all, and let the games commence once our collective heads clear, or summat. -
Ooh you bitch, a chain of chip shops and I'd give it a punt, but one?! Granted, I've spent a little time over the festive season attempting to peg a few who'll net a paragraph in the news pages rather than the full blown obit but, them's the rules. I'll admit now that I'm taking a risk or two mainly because it's more interesting that way. Happy New Year Godot.

So, are we a few hours from the return of the missing in action' Windsor or what?

Most Significant Death Of 2007 (poll)

Bhutto for all the reasons stated above along with the fact it forced a change in my DDP line up. -
The CPDP link is taking me to Landpirates, this is a temporary blip, right?

CP I wasn't accusing yer man Babcock of draft dodging, merely commenting on the irony of an experienced Canadian warrior moving to the USA as against Canada's role as a bolt hole for Americans unwilling to fight for their country.
