To echo Toastie, you would have thought that it would have been announced why he could not do the recordings, if it was not serious. He has also done tours in the past, nothing that has stopped him from being at the studio to do the recordings. Until he pops up saying all is well I am in the 'one foot in the grave camp' as it is logical to be.

Ken Dodd was 'booked to appear...' too. If the fella has missed a recording when he has NEVER missed one before then something is wrong. It seems pretty obvious that he has always fitted everything else around his recordings of the show and i cannot see why he would just suddenly change all that now. Nobody goes on forever.

To cut a longish story short, I cannot be arsed to explain, today I picked up a Technics HiFi system, in a glass cabinet, 80s style, for a whole £85 from a charidee shop. The assistant even demonstrated the record deck by playing a Simon and Garfunkel album on it, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. Scarborough Fair and Patterns sounded fucking awesome, vinyl is the nuts.

Liverpool lost. Years and years ago, under Shankly and Paisley, I used to want them to win European Cups, they were a humble club with a huge heart and managers that really gave something back to the City and played simple fabulous football with players that were bought in from, in the main, clubs much lower down in the pecking order. Roll forward decades and you have a club that assumes that Champions League football is 'in their DNA and they have an absolute entitlement to win the league, never mind finish in the top four. That has seeped into the minds of their supporters, they walk around like they are fucking superior to all others, entitled to it all above all others etc. I fucking hate the club now.
