They just did an article on my regional ITV Anglia news about a TV comedy showing tonight, called 'Orson Welles in Norwich. The article was ended with the reveal that Coltrane had done all of the filming in Glasgow due to 'mobility issues....' Just saying, like.

TBF, I dunno about breaking the world record but, surely, he must have broken his fucking legs after hitting water like he was hitting a pavement from jumping from a Tower Block! -
This is one of those threads where you can see scraping the barrel done to an art form.

I PM'd him months ago and never heard a thing. I genuinely hope he didn't become part of the Covid statistic. -
We are talking about Yvonne here, the IOMs very own pigeon killer.

I am surely not the only one who has looked at that pic and thought " Was she originally born with a set of bollocks?

You think so? Maybe you have forgotten that I live in a county that has been affected by climate change more than most others in the country. We are losing shit tons of coastline up here, peoples homes are falling into the sea at an alarming rate and my town has flood barriers and warning systems because we happen to be situated in an area of the country where we can and do get flooded. I am very aware of what is going on. I also have grandchildren, it is their lifetime that concerns me more than my own. Don't give me the old 'well you may not care but...' bullshit. Slowing, let alone stopping, climate change is going to be like trying to stop a supertanker, running at full speed, on a sixpence. While we all run around like headless chickens, wringing our hands, demanding we all go carbon neutral immediately and ride bikes everywhere, we are not doing very much to negate the change that is taking place and will continue to take place as time marches on. We have to start actually doing things that will reduce the impact and help us all adapt to the changes that are taking place, changes that we are unlikely to stop no matter what. What money has been actually spent to prevent towns around the UK being flooded, as they have been over the last ten years? Not enough is probably the answer. We can protect our communities from flooding, we can build dams, canal systems, bigger and better sea defences, christ, the Dutch had the technology to reclaim, land from the sea hundreds of years ago, it isn't like we don't know what to do, is it! It will always boil down to how much we are prepared to spend and how much we are prepared to let go. My point about adapting is the key point because we are going to have to adapt to what is happening, we will adapt to what is happening. That, in itself, does not mean that we disregard our role in causing climate change to be moving along at the pace it already is, we need to do more but we also need to take a far more pragmatic approach and start doing things that will protect us all from the things that we will not be able to completely stop in the next 50 to 100 years or more. That is not me saying I don't give a shit, is it! I also used to live on Canvey Island, a shit hole below sea level Go figure.
-
We will adapt. That is why we are still here.

Are we all looking at the same Poll? By a vast majority, across all age groups, there is a broad agreement that climate change is real. Where there are differences it is in whether the human race is mostly responsible for that change or not. There are also differences in attitude to how worried people are about it. Nothing unusual then.

Maybe. The point is, does he sign autographs willingly for people that admire his work and career? Is he happy to have selfies with people that have helped shape his career? If he does not participate in the above then, yes, he is a cunt. For all you know, he could be putting the proceeds for his 'pay for a personal message' service into charitable organizations. Until you know that he isn't then you cannot make such a negative judgement on the old fella, can you.

Basically, celebs who have that attitude towards their 'fans' are absolute cunts.

I used to love Phoenix Nights but hated the Max and Paddy Road To Nowhere series. M&W were very good but, yeah, a bit hit and miss at times though. -

I stumbled upon this recently. https://stuartfrew.wordpress.com/2007/08/31/36/ This explains why I was asking about Jerry Stevens in the comics thread. He did a double act, for a while, with Lennie Bennett. Well, for a critique of comedians of the past, it is pretty savage and, IMHO, very funny. This got me to thinking whether the assessment of those comedians now is a bit unfair? Comedy has changed an awful lot since they trod the boards, judging the past by what we laugh at now may be a tad harsh? Maybe in 30 years time we will look back at todays funny people and declare that Nish Kumar was as funny as finding out that your fart was actually a solid. Opinions? -
This is a thick as shit explanation masquerading as intelligent thought.

I used 'was' because she is no longer an actress, is she. You wouldn't say that Michael Schumacher IS a great racing driver either...
-
She acted from a young age and won awards for her stage work. She was a proper actress, she was..
-
Now you are just being silly, aren't you.

Did anybody actually watch Anne and Nick? They were shite.
