That would make perfect sense which means it won't happen. In all fairness, some places are just as far to travel to as you go west as when you go north or south. Hereford is a bloody long way from here and I don't think it is any worse to travel there as it would for Gateshead or Weymouth, as two examples. It is what it is, probably.

Well they are not really. We have played in leagues that have been more South based as well as North based. I suppose, until there is a Middle England league, it is what it is.

Our team were crowned champions of said league in the week. I suppose we will be hoping for a Boston win to keep with the local derby thing next season.

Oh, i am ok with wearing them in shops too. I also asked the question, on the back of that, whether we would want to wear them everywhere else too. I think that would be a bridge too far in a society that values face to face contact as a form of recognition and communication. Your other point is an interesting one. I am not a fan of single faith schools or , for that matter, these schools that have sprouted up and are not entirely within the education system that we already have. We bang on about social and cultural integration yet we tolerate the seperation of children into schools that work along the basis of religious ideology ( my opinion) and the view that said schools are the best possible way of teaching our kids about other faiths, cultures and how to live in perfect harmony or summat. It just amazes me how people wonder why social and cultural segregation, out there, in the big wide world, still persists as does the ingnorant and intollerant amongst us. It will never get better, will it!
