That means 5 more DDP points but I'm still far behind my last year's position. A first DDP hit of the year for the following teams: Finbarr Returns from The Dead (Again & Again) Mean Machine The Shoebury Stiffs

Your Linguistic Profile: 55% General American English 15% Dixie 15% Yankee 5% Midwestern 5% Upper Midwestern Well, that's interesting! It must be those films I watched as a kiddie. -
He was on my DDP last year. I left him off this time. Don't know why. I did the same with Maurice Papon on several DPs this year and look what happened! Could this be an Omen?

I'll swap you Brie for : Mozzarella! A soft cheese from Italy with a plastic texture, Mozzarella is made from buffalo milk. It is commonly known for being the cheese used in pizza toppings. -
Star Crossed, if you go to My Controls - Options - Board Settings, you'll find that you can choose the number of posts to appear in each page. The range is 5 - 40. The forum default seems to be 15. I hope this helps you manage your Inverse Vertigo!

Thank you HCW, Windsor, CarolAnn and TLC for your congratulations and kind comments. May I use post No.1001 to congratulate Han on having also passed the 1000 post threshold? I notice that you joined one day after I did and reached 1000 on the same day as me, so I'll need to move a bit faster to keep up! And congratulations to CarolAnn for 400! -

Slight exaggeration, but still clearer than some, in a BS-y sort of a way! I agree with TLC and Han ( and I hope, others) that posting a PM conversation is out of order. My first impression was that rather than a PM, it was a transcription of a MySpace exchange, but even that is punching well below the belt. Aside from all that, I wish to congratulate Banshees on returning to The "Lady" In Question what she deserves in return for her hypocritical "good manners" and attention-seeking lack of sensitivity to so much on this forum.

Does any one know what Steve Race, musician and broadcaster, is up to these days? Previously mentioned in 2004, he will be 86 on 1st April this year. His eventual demise is certain to be mentioned on the beeb, as he had much influence there in his day; for one thing he was (allegedly) single-handedy responsible for the side-lining of once very popular theatre organ music broadcasts. This may seem like a "good thing" to some of you now, but how many of you really know what you're missing? Has anyone any news of his health?

I'm giving up my regular Godot fix, it seems. -
Should Notapotato Be Stripped Of His Moderatorship?

No, you're not; I am! -
Not the smartest idea you ever had, outing yourself as a tail-gater, and also someone who possibly drives without working brakes - I'm real glad I won't ever meet you on the road. I'm not a tail-gater and I keep my brakes in working order. Other drivers have no way of predicting with certainty that my brakes will work; some stupidly dangerous drivers behave as if they have that certain knowledge. I'm real glad I won't ever meet you on the road.

Is there any record of a bloke having died from a hysterectomy (carried out on his own body)?

There about half a dozen DLers who can be seen to have the writing skills and imagination necessary to convince us all that Star Crossed is real. Godot is one of those. I suppose it's just about possible that this half-dozen is all one person! New thread fodder there! "How I can prove that I'm not him (he/she) ...or someone else!"
-
Stupidly dangerous drivers. Especially those who assume that my brakes work!

Are we sure she's really dead? I see she has no exclamation mark - is there something that you mods/ admins know, that you're not telling us?

Should Notapotato Be Stripped Of His Moderatorship?
Captain Oates replied to Star Crossed's topic in DeathList Forum
Something like that - usually with a view to boosting post numbers. I see that Star Crossed is coming up for the big 3 sixes number. Perhaps we could have a poll on whether he'll be banned from the forum before he gets there! In my opinion, he has just about deserved total banishment on last evening's showing alone. Perhaps his next post will be an abject apology to all of us who witnessed it? I wonder.... -

Very interesting. But who does mind the door? Some chap with a collection of razors, who won't let you back when you've been kicked out. Sounds a bit like the UK electorate (...just to stay on topic.)

Please will someone rename this thread "Backseat-Moderators Please Post Here!"
