both dead Elaine Stritch And Donald Sinden
BrunoBrimley replied to MadMac's topic in DeathList Forum
Nothing more has been reported on her and she is scheduled for an appearance with someone in a program in March so I figure she is probably doing well in recovering although she may be in a wheelchair or with a walker for a long while. Thing about hip breaks is that there's a very high risk of blood clots which can terminate the person in year one even if they are back up and waltzing about. This makes her recent hip incident an excellent reason for her being on the list this year although I would be saddened if she did cease breathing before she turned 90. -
I don't see him going any time soon. He's still a vital and active man doing tons of things. Still there are times when these are ideal candidates because nobody is expecting them to croak.

She can't really be included as a 2013 death since she croaked 'the night before new year's eve'......which would be December 30 in most places and even with time zone lines at most would be December 31 and either way in it was 2012. Beate Sirota Gordon Dies at 89 – Forward.com

I find it hard to believe that you don't have this rolly-polly good natured charmer of a man on your list. He's been in hundreds and hundreds of movies and all over the small screen as well. Aside from his turning 82 this past Sunday (February 28, 1923 is listed as his birthdate), he also has a big weight issue which must be straining and stressing his heart and other organs. Any chance we can get him on a list soon? Look I don't necessarily want to see him croak, bite the dust, kick the bucket, etc. but isn't it just about time to give him his honorary due of being listed?

Although it might be interesting to have some Nobel Prize winners such as Tomas Tranströmer, that might work as a thread of its own. And then one could be created for Pulitzer Prize winners such as Mr. Wouk who I am sure has also been translated into a few languages. Maybe in the upcoming year he will expire or perhaps he can continue on to at least 100 which would be nice. A search found that a Nobel Prize thread does indeed exist already. And now he is dead. Same day as Jack Klugman and probably some other notable who I haven't happened across in the obits.as of yet. 2 superb character actors gone at the same time, what are the odds? Remembering Jack Klugman and Charles Durning - NYTimes.com I liked old Chuckie as an actor. He was working right up until the end. There are plenty of others. Considering how far back IMDB goes and that 12 Angry Men was more than a half century old it would be easy to locate movies where the entire crew is dead. With 12, I think part of it was just watching them kick off one at a time, kind of like with the BeeGees. I wonder who will do Quincy's autopsy.

The Swedish Chef must be devastated. I myself am and I'm not even Swedish although I do like a good smorgasbord and a dish of Swedish meatballs.

It's sad to see this great voice being sil... ...wait a minute who was I about to speak? Back on topic, I always liked Glen's music although it wasn't something I told a lot of people. Personal favorites were Galveston and Dreams of the Everyday Housewife(which is quite very touching)

still not sure why a train wreck (actually a car wreck in her case) death would be that surprising considering the nonstop downward path the poor child has been in these last few years. Not a week or a fortnight goes by that she isn't in court for some sort of problem, usually connected to a night at the clubs. Memorable? Not really.

Who Should Be On The 2013 Deathlist?

Possibly they meant Margaret H. Thatcher. Her central name being Hilda. -
Now 97 Wallach hasn't been seen in recent weeks and rumors are running wild that he will be gone before the next batch of hamentaschen is needed(which will begin the night of my now dead grandmother's birthday). Remember you heard it here first.

Bill Clinton or possibly Rupert Murdoch. Then again it may be that Prince in England who wants to be King..... Chuck of Windsor,. Hard to explain, I just have a feeling about it.

Going with Bob Godfrey. 2 reasons. First I think it would be nice to say 'God(frey) is dead' and second because his name always makes me think of Bob Geldof and I'd like my life to be easier.

Who Should Be On The 2013 Deathlist?

I'd hesitate about pushing old Eli off the list. He was doing better healthwise after his near death experience several years back with his hip surgery but recently he's been taking a tumble and has been eyeing cemetery plotz. Just kidding. As a sideline to Wallach, maybe we can put in his wife the decrepit Anne Jackson who is 86 herself....we could '86' her. She and Eli have been married for 64+ years.....it will be 65 if they both last to Brenda's birthday in March. As to Douglas I'm convinced he's been dead a decade already. -
It helps keep the spotlight off of him as he works at becoming Dictator Extraordinaire. I have a feeling that with Mubarak, the same as that other character Ariel Sharon, we will won't hear another thing about them for quite a time and then one day some news will break that they are finally dead. Maybe they will die at the same time and wouldn't that be an excellent chance of showing the getting along thing by then having them in a joint funeral.

I agree. This sort of talk reminds me a bit of the gentleman in China, who leapt to his death from a third floor window as he thought his microwave was about to explode. I'm not sure I can really expand on that, except to say that reorganising this form would be a similarly unnecessary thing to do. So I ,must inquire did he jump for naught and the microwave never exploded or was it a wise move and he had expected to land on his wife as she returned from the restaurant with takeout from the local American restaurant and he just jumped too soon?

George is still in stable condition with a nasty lingering cough George H.W. Bush still in stable condition but lingering cough likely to keep him hospitalized I think he just wants to avoid those crowds at the mall for Christmas shopping and this was an easy way to do it. I wonder if the Parkinson's has added to his difficulty on recovering or is it just being up in years? George Bush Sr.’s Parkinson’s Battle

You can suggest anything you want but from my perspective the system is fairly much fine the way it is and has been for quite some time. Adding subterranean mishmash will just bring confusion and wreak havoc on this place. As somebody else already indicated there would be headaches galore what with people placing threads in the wrong section and the needing to move the corpse when it became such, Next thing you'll suggest a separate forums for each hemisphere.

Lee is probably about due for death, at least I hope so. Mikasa will probably get some writeup in The Guardian or other UK papers as he a brother of the late Hirohito (and apologies for misspelling Radziwill) -
But apparently a lawsuit has been filed and the man has quit after a second man came forward with accusations. Voice of Elmo quits after underage sex lawsuit filed - CNN.com

I voted no for a few reasons. Mostly I find darts to be as dull as grease hardening on an ice block so I want him removed from oxygen hogging.

George H.W. Bush- to be 89 in June Jimmy Carter- he will be 89 in October Lindsay Lohan- she's often too out of it to know her age or where she is. Clive Swift- I know, he will only be 77 in Feb. but we don't want them all to be elderly Raul H. Castro (former Gov. of Arizona born in 1916) Francis 'mad frankie' Fraser- 1 time bank robber been in prison for more than 4 decades, he is 89 already Lee Radziwell (Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onasis's sister) will be 80 and her sister's dead awhile already) King Abdullah (the 1st one) was another who was born in 1924 and is 88 already Prince Mikasa of Japan, born in 1915. Jack Vance- born in 1916 reading his books himself would likely do him in. -
Seven years later there seems to be some movement in this matter: The Jerusalem Post quotes Al Jazeera that: If this turns out to be real, it seems Arafat was indeed poisoned. Edit to add: Al Jazeera claims Arafat's widow wants his body exhumed. Next question: by whom? Polonium isn't exctly stuff you buy by the pound at the chemist's. regards, Hein Considering the short shelf life (or half life as scientists would call it) the idea that there were abnormally high amounts of polonium in his personal effects seems somewhat suspect. For purposes of purchasing, I would figure either an online search or a back alley meeting would be how most folks get theirs. Another method would be to obtain Lead-210 and then get in a time travel machine and go back a few months to when it was still polonium prior to the decay.
