It was 30 years ago today (June 28, 1982) that Harry Mills of the Mills Brothers vocalizers sang his last warble at the age of 68. 20 years ago Chess champ, the Latvian man by the name of Mikhail Tal heard the words Checkmate for the last time and gave in to kidney failure at 55. -
Interesting to note that they say he is slipping in and out of a coma. Wasn't that how that Gibb lad went? People were in momentary jubilation as he'd open his eyes and start humming and then PFFFT, he was deader than an honest politician's career. Perhaps the coma thing is a sign.

I wouldn't rule her out yet she's still quite the active gal, this happened as well in recent days (Tuesday to be exact and since today is Thursday... well, apparently the airport appearance was either results of too much partying or she learned the easiest way to get through the crowds is by hopping into a wheelchair and having your associate dash you off to the waiting limo. Liza Minnelli's Extravagant Night Out in N.Y.C. - New York, Liza Minnelli, Restaurant : People.com She shared a meal with her friends at a restaurant, smoked cigarettes and according to an onlooker 'she looked fantastic'.

In late breaking news former New York Knicks and Miami Heat forward Patrick Cummings has been found to be dead in a New York City abode. Police are saying there does not appear to have been any foul play. His girlfriend is said to have found him dead on a pullout sofa in a 1st floor unit at 40 minus 10 Christopher Street. Former NBA veteran, Cincinnati standout Pat Cummings dead at 55 - ESPN Former New York Knicks forward Pat Cummings dies at 55 - NYPOST.com Former Knicks player Pat Cummings found dead | 7online.com He was born July 11, 1956 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and went on to drink his milk (which does a body good) and eat Wonder Bread (known for building bodies in 12 ways) before topping out at the height of 6 foot 9 inches. He played with the Knicks (once known as The New York Knickerbockers) in the mid to late 1980s with the likes of Patrick Ewing so given the similarity in names I am wondering if the grim reaper took the wrong man and will be back soon to collect. -

Timothy White also perished suddenly 10 years ago on this day. He had been editor-in-chief of Billboard Mag. -
Every so often now and then I think about Macnee. When I was younger I for some reason used to get confused at the name Macnee and think of the actor Patrick McGoohan who has been dead over 3 years now. Perhaps it had something to do with both The Avengers and The Prisoner being shown on local airwaves during the same time period. If a rainbow appears I will know that it is a sign that Macnee has died.

In today's addition and edition (because it can be both) I have to wonder about Bent Fabric. Originally he was Bent Fabricius-Bejerre when he was born in Denmark back in 1924. He is to be 88 this year if he iis still wiht us in December. A musical man, he is known to many for his 1960's tune Alley Cat (the release name it was given after it had been successful in Denmark under the name of Omkring et Flygel. A zippy little tune, you can almost imagine Eartha Kitt or some other form of Catwoman dancing to it. Bent Fabric should go on the list for next year.

The horse is dead too is it not? Bolted from its stable right into the front of a truck... Verily I say unto thee that this is true. BB (one will note we share the same initials, too bad we didn't share the winnings), was murdered by a truck or a lorry or a tanker (each article offers a different name for the vehicle) after escaping from the paddock early one Saturday morning in May of this year. He was said to have died instantly according to trainer Lucinda Russell. Clearly BB was psychic and knew what fate awaited young Campbell and knew he'd want his favorite steed upon arrival in the next world. I was wondering about aging actress Elizabeth Wilson. She is now 91. Remembered for many roles including the mother of Dustin Hoffman's character Ben Braddock in the 1960s fim The Graduate. It was a notable movie in many ways including my next suggestion. William Daniels. He portrayed the father of Dustin Hoffman's character in that same movie. Daniels however is only 85. The notable item here is that Daniels is only 10 years older than Hoffman. That being a different matter, I also submit the idea of William Daniels to next years possibilities. So there we have it for 2013 I offer up Daniels and Wilson. Maybe even Hoffman just to make it a family win if they all croak.

For several years I had a Newsweek magazine with him on the front cover wearing yellow jogging shorts. He was President back then and fit as a fiddle. I wonder if his declining health has or will keep him from his jumping from any more planes or was the jump 3 years ago on his 85th the last?

(using the voice of Alex Trebek while he hosts Jeopardy) Oooh that's too bad Esturian Float. We can't give you credit because you forgot to put it in the form of a question. How much did you wager?

And just 3 days ago you were saying he'd be dead by the end of the hour. Apparently registering here and being able to predict are things you fail at. He was registered but was then subsequently banned Oh....Any idea who that he was before or is that private information given only to the gentry?

Phil Collins (And Other Genesis Types)

??? Peter Gabriel is alive, he's only 62. I think I know who you mean, but I'm buggered if I can think of his name at the moment. Gotit! Were you thinking of Robert Palmer? I most assuredly was not thinking of Robert Palmer. He may have been addicted to love and found himself to be simply irresistible but I did not care much for his musical musings. Frankly his videos with those robotic looking women scared the jehosphats out of me. I stay steadfast to my earlier proclamation of Mr.Gabe being late. (or at least his music is as far as I am concerned) -
How sad. Louise is now an orphan and just over a month before her 34th birthday. Hopefully her mother selected and wrapped gifts for her ahead of time.

Thank you for remembering Andy. He was an interesting man although sometimes a trifle more opinionated than I might at times have liked.

That is the clinical death that the others keep telling us about. Until the coroner makes it official he's still tidy.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

He is expected to be 90 in less than a quarter year from now (Sept.8) and that is a birthdate known for longevity. The late Frank Cady was 96 and Sid Caesar is born the same day as Lyndon and David O. McKay one time Pres. of the Mormons lasted to 96. -
Phil Collins (And Other Genesis Types)

This mention of Phil Collins and Genesis has made me think of the late Peter Gabriel which has made me strangely interested in eating a Salisbury steak in remembrance of things past, namely his tune Solsbury Hill which I thought was Salisbury until I saw it printed on a record label. There was a time I liked the tunes of Genesis in their various band formations. These days they're just depressing because they are so old. -
Although I may be wrong..... Oh and in response to Windsor, the answer is yes Ariel has been quite clinically deceased for a while. The problem with clinical death is they keep the body throbbing and beating and artificially breathing and eating which can go on as long as the doctors want it to.

So I heard and read this morning while eating peach yogurt. Is there any way of finding out if this could have been somehow caused by the father's dangerous level of drug usage? Did perhaps that create damaged sperm which thereby created a damaged y chromosome and hence a son who would be in later years sharing a disease with Annette Funicello, Chrissy Amphlett, and Montel Williams?
