I'm afraid to say that the LifeSaver was first produced in 1912 whereas the Polo was first manufactured in 1948. I hope I've prevented a discussion about sweets turning into another nationalistic squabble but I doubt it. No doubt the Germans or the Argentinians have an altogether better form of round confectionary with a whole in it. We'll have to wait and see.
