He needs to get a requisite obit from one of our accepted sources first.

Both OMJ and Hermit use a shit ton of IPs. And one OMJ used on 4/4 has considerable overlap with one The Hermit used on the same day. Combined with Hermit never contributing anything of value, he's out.

Kill or Save: UK No.1-hits of the 60s

I can't help but make a dumb smile at the Ifield songs, partially due to the forum mini-meme about him a few years back, partially due to the ridiculousness of the yodeling. Doesn't mean they're any good though. -

There was also obscure South Dakotan senator Tim Johnson on the 2007 Deathlist Anywho, I've merged the various Feinstein conversations from the politics thread into here.

"Prepare for the worst" in Superstar terms means he'll die this century rather than next century.

Of these UK #1s in the States: Running Bear, the Everly Bros songs bar Temptation, the Elvis songs bar Wooden Heart, Good Timin', Only the Lonely, Poetry In Motion, Blue Moon, On the Rebound, Runaway, and Michael were all hits (not necessarily #1s). Why, Apache, Tell Laura I Love Her, Sailor, Wooden Heart, Tower of Strength, and Moon River were hits, but not by the same artists - and in Sailor's case, it was in German. The others were not hits. -
Finally. Took half a year but now there's a DDP obit I can use the "not everyone who sees 99..." line on.

Here's April. The former Chancellor of the Exchequer checks out. Nigel Lawson was no real loss(on), but very much a gain for nantonian2013, who cooks up 63 points (45 base + 18 bonus) with the death of Nigella's dad. Next, the cuckoo crumbles for cinematographer Bill Butler. Rumors that he knew he was about to die because he heard ominous music, but couldn't actually see the Reaper sneaking up, could not be confirmed. Grease is the word for two teams: diego gets 35 points and markb4 gets 15. What? He buried? Only Perhaps saw that pondering the demise of MAD Magazine's Al Jaffee wasn't a stupid question, and brings 25 sub points into his fold. Pedro67 had fashionista Mary Quant on the outskirts of his team, bobbing upwards with 25 sub points. Two teams jump in the line following calypso sensation Harry Belafonte's exit. Mostly a vocalist, there are also instances of him drumming out there, and tbh if you can stand toe-to-toe with Animal on the drums you probably deserve the bonus points. So it's a banana bunch of points for Murdoc with a fruitful 54 in total (30 base + 24 bonus), while ThereWillBeDeaths7 picks up 25 sub points. No competitive heavyweight deaths in the past month means the very summit of the scoreboard is unimpacted, but the meaty totals of some of the aforementioned hits sweep multiple teams past the century mark and into the top ten: 1. CaptainChorizo 147 2. gcreptile 145.95 3. Banana 140 4. justonecornetto 139.95 5. DeathBecomesThem 125.77 6. nantonian2013 114.27 7. msc 111.77 8. Perhaps 110.95 9. diego 110.82 10. Murdoc 108.82 11. drol 105.77 12. wannamaker 100.95 13. RadGuy 92.7 14. Etushispushingupdaisies 91.4 15. BuffaloPhil 84.95 16. ThereWillBeDeaths7 75.82 17. Toast 70.95 18. Sean 70.82 19. New update coming soon. At a glance seems like Bill Butler, Al Jaffee, and Harry Belafonte have been the only hits since last time? EDIT: Oh, Nigel Lawson too. And Mary Quant.

60s death discs are fascinating as a phenomenon but all over the place in individual quality. Johnny Remember Me and the Shangri-Las on one end, gunk like Tell Laura I Love Her and Teen Angel on the other. -

One of those days where the obitwriting took up most my Saturday, haha, so glad to hear it's appreciated. Belafonte was my first obit of this length in some time, iirc longest since the Queen, so definitely crossing fingers whenever it's Carter's time that it's during a dry spell!
