Alas, not on YouTube, but there is a Muppet Show episode where they hold auditions for new acts. A running gag is a girl and her frog perform songs badly and are taken off the stage in seconds. One of these songs is Yellow Ribbon. None too different from this game here! -

Feels a little redundant when the four left are going to make the grand finale no matter what happens. But understood. -

Gone the way of Smiley Lewis, Chuck Berry, and Fats Domino. Though not yet Huey Smith. -
Deathrace Form Guide #14 Ray Anthony Dual "WTF still alive" as both a survivor of the Glenn Miller Orchestra and a living Big Band leader in his own right, who continues to stand as much younger music names perish. The veteran trumpeter was in decent shape at his centennial earlier this year, but at that age anything can happen. He had a hit with the Dragnet theme, will he be done duh done done early next year?

39 Smokey Robinson & The Miracles – Tears of a Clown 33 T. Rex – Get It On 32 Simon & Garfunkel – Bridge over troubled water 27 Slade - Coz I Luv You 15 Jimi Hendrix Experience – Voodoo Chile -6 13 Freda Payne – Band of Gold +4 7 Dave Edmunds – I Hear You Knocking If not voting Freda yesterday ends up a critical mistake, I'm going to feel rather like the various Democrats in 1992 who felt "oh Bush Sr is too popular to lose reelection, I'm not running..." Phone not letting me unbold Simon and Garfunkel or Slade, will fix within an hour -
Deathrace Form Guide #12 Harrison Ruffin Tyler A long time ago, a forgotten 19th-century US president had a shag in his final years. A son came out of it, and said son too had a shag in his final years. The end result is Harrison Ruffin Tyler, doddering on as a living relic of history. Now has no memories of his grandpa due to suffering from dementia. And the whole "died 66 years before he was born" thing.

Francis outlives Benedict. Won't have Benny's longevity, mind.

I'd heard of Petras entirely because of a trans friend who is far more "here and now" savvy than I. Life is weird, the friend is a good deal older than me but she introduces me to modern music and I introduce her to 60s stuff! -

I could see it being like George Boscawen, who coincidentally died days after a Wiki death hoax. JLL's tank seems low even by his standards. -

Usual withholding judgment for songs I've not heard yet caveat, but Cooper about the only one I'm already familiar with and really like. Whereas an uncomfortably high amount I already know as shite.
