Since he died in January before the pool started his QO status is irrelevant here

Deathrace Form Guide #19 Larry Storch Now-retired US actor best known for his role in F Troop who could well fortify your Deathrace team if he hunkers down in early 2022. His doctors believe he will see 100, and the course of the next year plus few months will determine if their intuitions were correct. Though if he survived being the voice of Cool Cat, he may well survive anything.

How’s Your 2022 Shortlist going?
Death Impends replied to The Old Crem's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Playing as a co-host will add an interesting change of mind to my DDP selection, it will make me gravitate far more to that "ooh, I want to pick them" name over the bland guaranteed points. Johnny Gilbert will join Jimmy Carter as a TJS bedblocker until death, for one. -
Deathrace Form Guide #14 Art Rupe Veteran music industry executive now 104 years of age, known for his pioneering 50s work in spreading awareness of black gospel and R&B music though also for dubious royalties practices. With the deaths of Little Richard and Lloyd Price in recent years, has now outlived practically all the pioneering rockers whose careers he helped launch. Could prove a valued Specialty in securing a win for a Deathrace team.

Political Discussions And Ranting Thread
Death Impends replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I live in NJ and am pretty gobsmacked, the gov is a reasonably competent incumbent and those guys usually don't struggle to hold on, especially if the state is already heavily leaning in their political favor. Does seem he will eke it out but it takes me back to the various House specials of the Trump era where R candidates in safe R seats ultimately won, but far more closely than there was any right to be. Even though we already knew it, fully cements 2022 is going to be a bloodbath for the Dems. And even though I hate the Repubs even more, I don't have any real pity for the Dems. "Trump bad!" messaging when the guy's no longer in office just won't distract from the fact Dems have done sod all since taking power. -

Deathrace form Guide #6 Bob Dole Bob Dole can't believe Bob Dole is still alive after Bob Dole was diagnosed with lung cancer in March. Bob Dole thinks you should all pick Bob Dole and show Bob Dole more love than Bob Dole ever got in 96. Bob Dole is Bob Dole and Bob Dole approves this message.

Video from October. Looks dreadful. -
If there's a QO for Pat Martino, think that more or less seals the deal for Salmon Mousse.

I started looking into survivors of DuMont programs a few years back, around early 2018 I think... can't mind if I still have any of my research. Definitely remember Larry Storch being one though.

Don't forget his name was the inspiration for Mongo in Blazing Saddles. Fortunately for Brooks and co he was a lot more chill about the homage than Hedy Lamarr was.

Former Governor of Virginia Linwood Holton has died. More important than that, though, he was also the former United States Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs. Why does this prestigious title matter? Because he held it under Richard Nixon's presidency, which means points for me. 30 base points and 12 bonus points boost me by 42.

Incidentally, would anyone be able to figure out who is now the 100th oldest living US governor? My (admittedly brief) searching hasn't conjured anything yet...
-
Somehow only a little more than two months left of the year. Which means the first sign of the front page transfer is now up...

News of his ill health actually rolled into my lap a few weeks ago despite my being retired from deadpool research! Knew others would be aware once websites started reporting though.

I long felt she would prevent my 2018 DDP team from seeing a clean sweep until the 2050s or so, and unlike the Ryan Buells of the world was hoping she'd prove me right. Going to be much quicker than that now, poor lady.
