Went to the Waves car wash at Tesco today. Have used it for years as it's handy to leave the car to be washed while you do your shopping. It's always been busy. Lately the franchise changed hands, and it was closed for a while. This was the first time I'd been back. I parked, and sat in the car getting the car key off the bunch of other keys. The fellow came out of his booth and approached me. Well that's not normal, they're usually too busy for that, and it was then I noticed that there were no cars being washed. I thought he was going to tell me it was out of order or something like that. But no. He circled round the car and told me that it was too dirty! Wanted to charge me an extra £5 ! I said, no wonder you've got no customers. Why would I bring a clean car to be washed? He started arguing the toss and, indicating other cars, said "Do you see any other cars here as dirty as yours?" Naturally I told him to FRO and went elsewhere. Had a look at the local FB community page and it seems they make a habit of this. People are not going back. I certainly won't.

That's all very well, but what is a "double suicide pod" and why is it necessary? Are they going to be gassed? Several years ago it was reported that an elderly couple had been found dead in a village near where I live. It turned out to be a retired doctor and his wife (he had been my doctor when I was a child and was lovely). She had dementia. He of course as a doctor had access to the means to peaceful death.

That explains why her appearances have become so infrequent. She did pop up recently at Wembley to do one song with Bruce, which was lovely. When he came on stage he said "It's Saturday night" which we took as a hint especially as someone had reported seeing her at the hotel. Towards the end Patti's sparkly top got tangled up in Bruce's guitar strings, which was amusing.

For lovers of funerary art, I have just found this Facebook group. It's a public group, so should be accessible to all. Cemetery Arts https://www.facebook.com/groups/742494956570217 "This is a Gallery for Funerary art, featuring Victorian era statuary, landscapes, mausoleums, and history. We are looking for skilled photographers and artists to contribute. We are not promoting religion. This is not a Paranormal interest group. Please; No Cherubs...I just don't like them. Thanks for understanding. I don't mind a little Kitsch, but there's a limit. I prefer the old Victorian era art."

On that subject, Amazon have dropped the question section. While it was annoying when people responded with unhelpful answers * ("Does this fit a VW Golf?" "Sorry, I don't know, I have a Ford Focus.") there's now no easy way to seek answers from other users. They've replaced it with a summary of all the reviews, which is pretty pointless. * To be fair, what happened was if you'd bought the item that was being enquired about, Amazon emailed you the question. It was not made clear that your reply was being sought for publication.

Its hitherto constant position at the top has puzzled me. It's a fun song but there are much better songs that have been voted out. -

Just booked my car in at the garage. I always do words for letters over the phone when giving the registration, eg my last car was DHM (Don't Hurt Me). Current car has a slightly saucy phrase which gave the chap some amusement. Unfortunately I ended the call by inadvertently saying "See you next Tuesday" -
