    Billy Graham

I think the Lord likes Graham to do a bit more repenting and atonement before He want him in. regards, Hein LOL, that must be it. Graham must have a LOT of repenting to do.

    Charlton Heston

ahh, you caught that on wikipedia also. Encouraging for the DL! I saw that as well on wikipedia. I'm just not sure how credible it is being that anyone can just put anything on there.

    Billy Graham

It's been a year since Graham's NYC "farewell" and yet he's still trucking on! I can't figure the guy out.

    Gerald Ford

Prophet, you are just too funny!

    Aaron Spelling

CNN reporting that Spelling's publicist says he died at his home after a stroke. Number 7 for DL 2006!

    Aaron Spelling

It seems like I read somewhere that Spelling also had battled cancer of the mouth recently although the article made no mention of that.

    Lady Bird Johnson

I have been able to find no photos or any kind of confirmation that Mrs. Johnson attended the Bentsen funeral. I did watch a clip of the funeral on the news and with all of the politicians and all there, it might as well have been a dress rehearsal for her own funeral!

    Gerald Ford

If he lasts until mid-November then he will have lived just long enough to break the Reagan record for longevity. He probably has a decent chance of it unless his health fails again before then.

    Billy Graham

Based on that article, it certainly seems that way.

    Numero Sept

Lady Bird Johnson, don't ask me why!

    Numero Six

There are 45 more to go

    Charlton Heston

In the last 3 days, two well-known actors have died at age 81 (same age Heston is now, Don Knotts and Dennis Weaver). The old saying is that it comes in threes. I wonder if Heston will be the third.

    Gerald Ford

It seems that newstories and commentaters are talking a lot more about Ford in terms of his career and legacy. The hospitalization stories always talk about his role in the Warren Commission which has often been overlooked in terms of his political career. I for one am begining to believe that Ford will pass on this year. And probably before November 11 which he survives that long will break Ronald Reagan's record for longevity. Ford will most likely die as the second longest lived president in U.S. history.

    Lady Bird Johnson

Glad to see the old gal made it on this years list. I think she is a good bet for '06!

    Gerald Ford

Probably. But his stays are becoming closer together and more frequent. Didn't choose him for anything for 2006, but it seems he won't outlast 2007. According to an aide, Ford is staying in the hospital a little longer. CNN reports that another medical briefing will be given by the hospital tomorrow.

    Charlton Heston

Interesting prediction, it seems that there has been nothing new reported on Heston's condition as of late.

    Gerald Ford

I have to say that these latest reports do not sound very good. NBC is reporting that the hospital will have a medical briefing on his condition tomorrow. Mr. Ford probably contracted this as a result of the cold that put him in the hospital last month. Number 2 could very well be around the corner.

    Joan Kennedy

    a possibility?

    Billy Graham

Rev. Graham has finally made the Deathlist! I'm not telepathic or anything, but my gut feeling tells me he will be a DL success for 2006!

    Lady Bird Johnson

With her 93rd birthday coming up on Dec. 22, it looks Mrs. Johnson may live out this year. I agree with Banshees Scream that she should be on the 2006 list.

Serious Contenders for Next Years List

Sorry, but Eugene is no longer available.
  22. GracieJc8

    Gerald Ford

I kind of doubt this latest tale. But I would advise DL to keep Mr. Ford on for 2006. We need at least one former U.S. president and I feel that Gerald Ford is our best bet.

    Near Misses for 2005

Hugh Sidey a longtime correspondent for TIME magazine who reported extensively on the American Presidency died Monday at the age of 78, according to the AP.

    Gerald Ford

I saw Carter last night on the Larry King show. He does seem to be getting a little old. King asked him how Ford was. Carter replied that he still talks to him and that he just doesn't get out of the house much anymore, doesn't give speeches, or travel. It seems both Ford and Carter are begining to show their ages.
