I wonder if he would still be as obitable abroad if he died of old age now or 5 years from now. I mean this is a person who was only briefly newsworthy 11 years ago.

With all the crazy conspiracy people sharing their opinions during Corona, Off course, this guy now decides to become a vlogger. Link in Dutch

Not sure anymore. But at the time i think i even asked Paul Bearer about the possibilities of removing my account. Ah well i will be fixing the first post. Now it is very informative.

George Kooymans, guitarist and co-founder of Golden Earring had to stop touring because he is "seriously ill". They won't diclose what it is but are saying it's "serious". Link in Dutch

His dead makes me wonder how actor Robert Blake is doing now. He must be close to 90 now and he also murdered a girl and stood trial around the same time.

Big name for the Netherlands, not known outside that. Tv personality André van Duin is recovering from a colon cancer operation. Dutch link

If it is any help. As a former organisor of this game, i know how much work counting up all the scores is. I was really surprised how fast you got them out with this many entries. I often took days just organising all of that (last time even weeks). Also the first couple of years didn't have nearly as many entries as now a days. You are commiting and investing a lot of your spare time into a passion project and i think this should be pointed out and admired. Thank you for this, Book.

Really happy with this victory

No results yet but, seeing the list, I have a feeling I did pretty well this year.

link to a Dutch video from back in October about the health of former acrobat and children entertainer Bas van Toor (85) who, as seen in the video, is wheelchair bound, extremely frail and unable to speak. His brother, and fellow acrobat/entertainer, Aad van Toor mentions in the video that he had multiple heavy operations over the last 5 years. Clearly someone who can drop dead any moment but also someone with very little obit chances outside of the borders of the Netherlands. So maybe just a heads up for people who can fit him in some fringe dead pool where Dutch obits are allowed.

Bram van der Vlugt, Dutch actor most know as the official actor playing Santa Clause on all tv appearances from the mid-80s to the 2000s, died of Corona Link in Dutch

So all the focus is now on Trump but am kind of wondering how also the other members of his Corona-themed garden party are doing.

Wasn't sure if i was going to post it because it is a very unpopular opinion but doing it anyway. I actually think he was much more of a promising Dramatic actor when he played Jackie Robinson and James Brown right after eachother. Quickly after that he got gobbled up by the "Marvel Superhero Franchise Machine" where all actors kind of get lost. I think he would have maybe achieved way more Dramaticly interesting roles in his short life if he contineud going on the road that he did in his early carreer and not commit to this huge franchise in which actors get very little to do. A shame he died and in my honest opinion, in terms of actively working big Hollywood actors, the biggest shock dead since Philip Seymour Hoffman (making it clear again that this is Just An opinion).

He apperantly has a bad case of Corona and is not recieving "any medical treatment in the Peruvian prison" according to his family.

Not sure where to post this. It's a toss-up between here and the Art-thread. And interesting obscure DDP-pick (if people want to take a gamble) would maybe be painter René Daniels. I was aware that he had a brian aneurysm in the late 1980's. What i was not aware of was that it left him unable to paint or speak. He currently is 68 and has been living this was for the last 30+ years. Can't imagine someone like that becoming very old. I off course did a research on how obitable he is. He is by every definition of the word very fringe. There are three paintings of his in the collection of the Tate, He has a rather large article on the website of Frieze (a major London based artfair/magazine) and a mention in a Guardian-article from 2015. If he dies he will probably get obits from Dutch media and art related blogs/media. I however don't know if he would get an obit from a mainstream british newssource. So it would only be worth a DDP unique pick for who ever wants to try it.

Who will win the 2020 US Presidential Election?
Vaagheid replied to Windsor's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
He probably did. Are we all forgetting Trump use to be good friends with Jeffrey Epstein (even if he downplays that now)? -
Will there even be any Oscars and Baftas this year at all? I mean cinemas could possibly be closed till the end of the year and then they have no movies to award.

I was watching Koko Flanel and, after doublechecking on google, realised that French-based Dutch actor Henri Garcin is currently still alive and turning 91 next month. In his carreer spanning more then 50 years he played roles in movies from/with Jean-Louis Trintignant, Catherine DeNeuve, Sophia Loren, Gerard Depardieu, Agnes Varda and Francios Truffaut. He has done a couple of English languaged movies with Charles Bronson and Keith Carradine. Most well known is the awful Steve Martin-remake of The Pink Panther. I mostly know him from the movies of Alex van Warmerdam (mostly Abel, where he had a big important role as the father). It is not a deathlisty name but maybe someone worth some DDP points. -
- Edit: not relevant for this thread.

Protests in Suriname Apparently the government plundered the bank accounts of its citizens to pay of the national debth.

For the people calling this the biggest death since Michael Jackson. Let's not excagurate. From my non-American perspective it is not even the biggest death of 2020 (so far).

So according to Dutch news, Nijmeijer has now officially left the FARC. I wonder where someone like that goes seeing that the U.S. classified her as a terrorist and she has an arrest warrent out from Interpol.

Dutch news are reporting he got into a serious traffic collision. Apperantly he was driving one of these and got in a collision with a car and was flung out of his vehicle. He was rushed to the IC with "severe injuries" but so far he seems to be alive. Link (in Dutch) Here is also a photo of the crash side. Probably also someone who wouldn't get an obit outside the Netherlands (maybe one in Flanders but that's as international as it get's)
