A new year and a new set of rules. Pick 50 names you think will be on the 2017 Deathlist. 25 points for exact position 15 points if you are at only 1,2,3,4 or 5 positions removed 10 points if you are at only 6,7,8,9 or 10 positions removed only 5 points if the person is on the list but farther from the original position An extra 5 points if you where the only one who guessed the person correctly And 7 points detracted for every person you got wrong You are allowed 3 extra names (in order of priority) who will replace a name if they die before the list is online. You can send them to me through PM (only) untill the 30th of December at 23:59 CET (mainland Europe time so 22:59 GMT). I will reveal the results somewehere in the first two weeks of January. If enough people enter (atleast 10) i might make a little plaque or trophy for the winner (otherwise i couldnt be bothered)

So i was looking around for exhibitions to visit and stumbled on an exhibition of 103 year old Hungarian photographer Ata Kandó who now has an ouvre exhibition in the Fotomuseum in Rotterdam. Maybe a nice DDP-pick for some people, i dont know how obitable she is but apparently she is living in a care home so she is surdenly frail enough. https://www.nederlandsfotomuseum.nl/en/exhibition/ata-kando-eng/

There are rumours in Colombian and Dutch media that she's been killed in action, in the same raid in which Mono Jojoy, a top Farc rebel leader, is reported to be killed. Could be a massive points bonanza for Vaagheid if: 1. She is dead 2. She gets an obit 1. according to some Columbian sources it seems likely that she died2. I fear she won't get the right obit, DDP-points or not i am still very proud that i predicted her death. Prepare yourself for a disappointment: the Colombian Defense Ministry reports a woman killed in the raid is not Ms Nijmeijer. I haven't found an English news source for that, but I'll keep my eyes open. regards, Hein FARC-apologist Tanja Nijmeijer was being interviewed on Dutch tv (via a video link from Havana) about the peace deal between the FARC and Columbia. She was mostly defending "the ideals" of the FARC and the current peace deal. She was also saying that if the peace deal went through she would stay in Colombia and "make the country better in some other way" but if the deal wouldn't go through then she and the other FARC members will "have to" go back into the jungle. http://nos.nl/nieuwsuur/artikel/2137794-tanja-nijmeijer-als-de-deuren-gesloten-worden-gaan-we-terug-naar-de-jungle.html

Correct, he has indeed died: http://deadline.com/2016/08/arthur-hiller-dies-love-story-director-academy-president-1201805019/ Didn't he make a movie that swept the Razzies and ruined his carreer or am i confusing him with the director of Scent of a Woman?

Giving both scoring option 5 points each is pointless. Just may as well give a single point in both cases and the resulting order would be the very same outcome. To vary the outcome would be to offer a sliding scale of difference such as 25 points for exact position. 20 points for one position away. 15 points for 3 positions away, then 12 for 4 positions away, 10 for 5 positions away. Then 9 points for 6 away. 8 for 7 away. 7 for 8 away. 6 for 9 away. 5 for 10 away 4 for 11 away. 3 for 12 away. 2 for 13 away. 1 for 14 or 15 away. It's partially because I will not have a lot of time too count the results... but here is an amendment too the rule too make the stakes higher... 25 points for exact position 15 points if you are at only 1,2,3,4 or 5 positions removed 10 points if you are at only 6,7,8,9 or 10 positions removed only 5 points if the person is on the list but farther from the original position... Also if you already sent me your entry you can send me an updated version...

None of the above... just to be different...

9th of March 2016... because all the good dates are taken, so I am losing this sweepstakes regardless of which date I pick.
