So doubtless he's wandering around the care home giving it endless yakkety yakking! No more yakking from Carl.

He made my DDP final 30, if it's any consolation. As did the unselected 92(allegedly)-year-old Egon Ronay, who has, as far as the search function indicates, never once been mentioned here. Patrick Leigh Fermor has died, thankfully chosen by me this time (damn and blast the other team that picked him). A most interesting chap.

More trouble for Trouble, as she loses $10m of her $12m inheritance. No more foie gras for you, it's back to the Winalot. And more - she's dead. I hope she made a will.

The annual Manx cull is upon us. Geoff Duke is 88, if you were wondering.

Conveniently for Newstreet Boys Death Squad, if less so for Hans, he's dead.

... and three years later, it reaches Worcester Crown Court. I hope BearGrove/SuttonHunter has got front row tickets.

Sadly for him he will not be able to witness his son compete at the 2012 Olympics. On the other hand, he's probably been spared having that conversation with Tom... Oh trust me, we're just awaiting his arrival in the Swallow (the main gay pub in Plymouth) Does Marc Almond ever drop by for a couple of pints? Or is that just a scurrilous rumour?

Frankly, I don't fancy his chances of cheering on his closeted wurzel diving boy to 2012 Olympic gold, having seen this documentary. Tom Daley's dad died this evening. Fuck my budgie smugglers. Always go with your instincts, Taf. -
It could be combined with Zsa Zsa/hospital, Gazza/copshop, Doherty/prison etc. We're all creatures of habit.

Leonora Carrington dead at 94. Born in that hotbed of surrealism, Chorley.

Prolific actor Edward Hardwicke, who played Watson to Jeremy Brett's Holmes in the 80s TV series and stooge son-in-law to Sir Clive D in 70s sitcom My Old Man, amongst much other luvvieness.

I'd like to work for the Suicide Tourist Board, either on the marketing team - "a once in a lifetime trip: you'll love it to death!" - or, being bone idle, in the complaints department.

Just three left, following Lloyd Knibb's passing.

His co-star Dana Wynter's body has been snatched by the undertaker.

The man who played the piccolo trumpet solo on Penny Lane, David Mason, has died. No doubt the poor chap played on hundreds of great classical choons and rated Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders over the Beatles, but it's in here he goes I'm afraid. He was paid the princely sum of 27 pounds and 10 shillings for his few minutes' work, apparently. That's £786,259 in today's money.

I have only two interests here. Getting the Tories out and having a (slightly) more interesting time filling out my ballot paper. I would imagine, or at least, in my admitted ignorance, hope, that voting yes would help achieve the former and would definitely achieve the latter.

Head of the Mark McCormack-founded IMG sports management company, Ted Forstmann, has brain cancer. Obit potential: questionable, to say the least. But we do what we can.

Death to them all. Vive la revolution.

The drummer from the 'Take Five'-era Dave Brubeck Quartet, Joe Morello, has died.
