I'm surprised we don't get that many religious nutjobs visiting this site; after all, there are f*****g billions of them out there looking for someone to bug the shite out of save/condemn.

MIA no longer.

The Students for Concealed Carry on Campus (starring Babs Windsor?) obviously believe the same thing. That'd certainly make you think twice before proclaiming Heidegger's views on the nature of being are utter poppycock in your 9am seminar, eh.

He's handed his obolus to Charon, anyone?

A couple of Boston-related stories: Former Braves outfielder and manager Tommy Holmes has died, aged 91. The Yankees have 'foiled' an attempted Red Sox-inspired 'curse'. David Ortiz as the new Bambino? I don't see it.

He came, he saw, he conquered, but did he dissemble?

It sounds like Ramos-Horta had a pretty miraculous escape and is making a good recovery, thankfully. If I were him I'd stay in Australia, but he seems like a man on a mission and he's on his way home. Timorese politics is hardly my specialist subject, but I wouldn't be surprised to see more assassination attempts.

She's doing a Pinochet all right, too 'frail' to be extradited say her attorneys.

To no-one's surprise, Kony didn't show up and the deal's off for now. Let's hope he's dead. Kony's right hand man, Okot Odhiambo, appears to have been killed during LRA infighting. Depsite being a nasty piece of work, I suppose Kony could only technically qualify for despotism if he was actually in power. He's probably fairly despotic within the LRA, though.

Not a surprise, but I'm still quite shocked, if you know what I mean. And quite saddened. Whatever the rights and wrongs of how his girlfriend died, he was obviously very troubled afterwards, and I hope he is at some sort of peace with himself now. It's like a modern-day Romeo and Juliet. But with cocaine. And crayons.

I've recently made the shocking discovery that it was actually Showaddywaddy who put the bomp in the bomp-a-bomp-a-bomp, but I'm still no nearer finding out who put the ram in the ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong. Please help, it's driving me plumb crazy.

I wish Charlton Heston would hurry up and die.

No need to invite Elizabeth Stefan.

It is with heavy heart that I must announce the death of Mexico's top cardinal, Ernesto Corripio Ahumada. I'm getting quite into posting these irrelevant religious carkings, but I'll leave the health reports of the still-living to the Devonian master himself.

Not enough for the Dean of Southwark, apparently.

Lord Beaumont's death has reduced the number of Green Party peers to nought. I'm sure he'll make a lovely bit of compost.

Who Do You Think Will Win The Democrat And Republican Nominations?

Having a lardarse, shortarse, slaphead, cokehead English faggot on your side is bound to swing the vote your way in the Deep South, one might presume. Scandal in the wind? -
Continuing the theme, Bob Marley's mother Cedella has died, as has baseball great Hank Aaron's mom, Estella.
