A quick search in the British Newspaper Archive reveals he had a stage role in a production of South Pacific in April 1956. He played the character Louis Billis. The casting age for that character is normally 30s/40s so likeliness is he's long dead.

    Ebola and Other Viruses

They're now saying 24 cases. There were Marburg outbreaks in 2021 (1 case/1 death, Guinea) and 2022 (4 cases, 3 deaths, Ghana) but they were cut dead at the source pretty quickly. Yet another virus of zoological origin. Guess what animal? That's right... fruit bats. Disgusting creatures.

British-Pakistani actor Zia Mohyeddin (wiki) dead at 91. Michel Ray (wiki, b. 1944) and John Dimech (IMDb, b. 1943) are now the only surviving actors to have appeared in "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962). Ray refuses to talk about his time in the film, and Dimech lives in Malta but is very elusive according to this.

Some prick at IMDb keeps changing his birth year back to 1921, after I sent a supporting newspaper article that basically confirmed he was a teenager in the 1950s. Truly given up on that site.

    (C)Rappers

Sad, but I have to confess to looking them up recently and being surprised that all three were still alive. 80s groups of fat rappers/R&B singers tend to have at least one member missing e.g. Sugarhill Gang and LeVert. Posdnuos is the only member of De La Soul who looks like he took care of himself. I'd expect him to live to a decent age. Maseo is still on the heavy side.

Thanks @LWCZ / @tracy. It's good that I have one marriage record now, even if it doesn't appear to be the right one (I'm guessing she was married multiple times). I've seen the 2010 death record in the past. Annoying that we can't prove that it's her.

An appeal for information on American pop singer Jodie Sands I've covered her in the UK Singles Chart thread before. Had a UK No. 14 hit, as well as reaching No. 15 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1957. Toured with the likes of Chuck Berry, the Everly Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly and Paul Anka. So what happened to her? Sands was born as Eleanor DiSipio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania according to several books online. That much is backed up by newspaper articles on Newspapers.com as well as census records. Her parents were Rocco (born 1886) and Angelina (née Cattefesta) DiSipio (born 1891). Her mother Angelina died in 1966 as per published death notices here and here. The 1930 census here gives her birth place and an estimated year of birth of 1927/1928. Using the census and several residency records, we can see the names of her siblings. Obituaries of two of her siblings, here (1996) and here (2000) refer to her as Eleanor Ferro. So what happened to her? I doubt that she's still with us, but Ferro is a typical Italian-American surname so finding her records is proving difficult. I can't even find her marriage certificate, which I think would be the key here. I've updated her wiki page with the above information but I'd obviously like to add full birth/death dates and details of her marriage. Any help please?

The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous

The earliest British PM to have a living grandchild is Archibald Primrose, 5th Earl of Rosebery, Prime Minister from 1894 to 1895. His grandson, Scottish peer Neil Primrose, 7th Earl of Rosebery (wiki), turns 94 today. He sat as a non-affiliated member of the House of Lords until 1999 and lives near Edinburgh.

Born on April 15, 1940 in Dodge County, Nebraska. The confused 1941 birth year probably arises from the fact that her baptism record is the first result that comes up when you search for her on Ancestry (she was baptised March 23, 1941).

    Non-British Royals

Princess Felicitas of Salm-Horstmar (born 1920), who turns 103 in March, has now become the oldest living European royal in history. She has overtaken the record held by Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester (wiki, 1901–2004), who was the aunt of Elizabeth II.

Correct. Also most of the biggest female stars of the Golden era are dead. Loren (and perhaps Moreno) are the only really big names of that era left. All the men are dead. The fame level of the other remaining women is perhaps a little distorted for us because we talk about them proportionally more for deadpooling purposes but the likes of Hedren, Marie Saint, Glynis Johns were never “stars” like Vivien Leigh, Bette Davis, Katharine Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Joan Crawford etc. Different levels.
