Not picked in the DDP though. I suspect he may get a QO.

Mihai Sora dead at 106.

Yes and no (but mainly no). She was in some of the older British sex films/x-rated comedies. Softcore type stuff I suppose you could say. But yeah, she’d be better suited in another thread.

A good example of someone who really shouldn’t have a Wiki page.

Interesting to see Mike Barnes do a write up for someone who died more than a few months ago. He normally avoids that. I think he spotted it from this In Memoriam list from the Writers Guild of America West, which looks like it was published fairly recently.

Ingham the latest from the anti-Cake campaign to drop. Rolfie next I would think!

A hit for 3 DDP teams. I will miss his legendary eyebrows on BBC Question Time.

American mountaineer and rock climber Allen Steck (wiki) dead at 96/97 according to this Facebook post. (photo from his 90th birthday) Gurdial Singh (wiki), 99, and Gwen Moffat (wiki), 98, still at peak positions as the oldest mountaineers.

Funny how songs both immediately sprung into our heads. I was thinking of "Danger! High Voltage" by Electric Six.

Is this really necessary?

Mentioned in the Elizabeth II thread before but more appropriate here as he was a biographer of a number of Royals... Philip Ziegler (wiki) dead from cancer at 93. Times obit. A unique DDP hit.

Guardian obit. They really ought to start giving us some credit.

I've updated The Congregation, Sea Level and Burt Bacharach entries for recent deaths and I think I'm up to date here now. One point of interest – June Marlow of The Stargazers was confirmed alive in July 2022 when she contributed to an article here. This means that she takes the crown of earliest surviving artist to have had a UK #1, not Tony Bennett. She turns 92 this year. "Broken Wings" was the 7th #1 single, way back in April 1953! For context, we are currently on the 1408th #1 single in the charts!

Predict The Biggest Death Of Each Year of the next decade

Andy wasn’t a Bee Gee. -
Interestingly, it seems the real Bettye Swan has been ill for over a decade...

Being denied all over Facebook, including from Kent Records, her family/friends. Seems a similarly/same named woman in North Carolina has died and some confusion has arisen. Pretty irresponsible of Soul Tracks to do that write up as even they speculate in their article as to whether she's actually dead...

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...
Ulitzer95 replied to Vaagheid's topic in DeathList Forum
And another one... 1923er Howard R. Lamar (wiki), 21st President of Yale University (1992–1993), supposedly dead at 99. Also some tributes on Twitter. -
Qurei was a DDP pick way back in 2007 and 2008, then never picked again.

Ahmed Qurei dead at 85.
