Any evidence that this woman is actually alive?!

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...
Ulitzer95 replied to Vaagheid's topic in DeathList Forum
British singer, actor entertainer etc. Dennis Lotis (wiki) died today, aged 97, according to an unsourced edit on there. Doesn't look like vandalism. Big name. I would expect an obit from Times, Telegraph, Guardian, maybe even the BBC. EDIT: A pick for 2 teams in the DDP. -
She was never the “world’s oldest living actress”. I removed that line from her Wiki page because it was never measured by an official body of any kind, but just stated by a bunch of Serbian journalists, who I seriously doubt conducted any real research. Elisabeth Waldo had acting credits, is still alive, and was born before her anyway.

I'd really like to know that happened to German violinist Max Kayser (wiki).

LET THE HOST HOOOOOOST!!

Keep the income flowing? Reduce the levels of stress? Black Sabbath are one of the most successful British rock bands of all time. I don't think the extra income from a new ballet is going to have any effect on their longevity or health somehow, particularly Ozzy who is a multi multi millionaire already.
-
Oh. Sabs = Black Sabbath. That's the part I didn't understand. Never heard it being abbreviated to that. You announcing that you're going to the ballet is still extra curricular.

Daniel Defert (wiki), French sociologist and HIV/AIDS activist, dead at 85. Also the partner to the late French philosopher and child molester Michel Foucault.
-
And this belongs in the Ozzy Osbourne thread, why?
-
True, but he's attacked by those on the left in equal measures.

Seems like an appropriate time to serve a reminder that John Anderson (wiki), referee from the UK series of "Gladiators" is still alive and turns 92 this year. Decent chance that he's still in reasonably good shape as he appeared on Top Gear in 2016, and The Last Leg in 2017. A pick for 2 teams on the DDP. I feel like that should be higher, but then again he's seldom mentioned on here given his level of fame in the UK.

I was a smoker of 16/17(?) years. I loved a cigarette, especially at work. I have always had an otherwise very healthy lifestyle – great diet and I exercise twice daily (swim or run at 6am then a weights session late afternoon). I’m a qualified nutritionist and personal trainer (though I’ve never actually used it in a profession). Despite all this, smoking REALLY did start to affect my health and I’m only in my early 30s. I was getting very bad chest infections towards the end, terrible sleep and crazy heart palpitations. Not to mention it kills your appetite, and impacts your mood/energy levels/motivation/happiness etc. It’s just not worth it. I am not one of those ex smokers who is annoying and demands every one else quits, but if anyone were to ask advice I’d tell them to get off them ASAP, rather than say “do what you like” or “limit it to social smoking” etc. Vape if you must but only do it as a means to an end. Vaping is nowhere near as bad for you as smoking but it carries problems of its own!

Alex Salmond not looking healthy at all.

That's 4 UK MPs dead in 3 weeks. There was a disproportionally low number (15) of MP deaths in 2022 so looks like 2023 may have a lot instead.
-
The timing isn't coincidental. The NY Times released an obituary last night which actually contained a date of death (something that was missing from his Soul Tracks "obit"). Easier for the British press to wait on a more reputable U.S. media outlet to do all the research for them.

The short version is the guy is just a bully. Very arrogant and dismisses anything that runs contrary to “his truth”.

Confirmed again?

I have never understood the hate mob that constantly surrounds Kissinger. I think people just do it cos it's fashionable. Why is he any worse than any U.S. president who has ever authorised an airstrike? So why not go hate on Clinton, Bush and Obama?

Thank you Willz. Brenda Reid now the only surviving charting member of The Exciters.

Ahmet Eyüp Türkaslan’s death has now been denied. However, he’s still still under the rubble.

Bye bye Bibi. Moshe Meron (wiki, b. March 1926) is now the oldest former member of the Knesset. Followed closely by billionaire Stef Wertheimer (wiki, b. July 1926). Quite a drop from having about 4 centenarians last year...
