Indian-born British property developer and polo player Kuldip Singh Dhillon (wiki) dead at 72. Brits on here will remember the big controversy in 2009 when it was revealed that Charles' nickname for Dhillon was "Sooty". Dhillon not only defended Charles but said he was called it by all of his friends and he liked it. Times obit.

Shantabai Kamble died this morning according to several tributes posted on Facebook. Just under 5 weeks shy of her centenary.

George Drennen Fischer died in Oct 2021. Clifford Alexander died in Jul 2022. Milton Viorst died in Dec 2022. Carl Bernstein, Bob Woodward, Dan Rather and Elizabeth Holtzman were never on the list. The dangers of a Wiki page that is badly sourced. They've now been removed from the Wiki page, and so have a number of some deceased names who never belonged on there, so you'll have to correct the number totals above for a few sections.

Julian Sands has not been seen for 12 days now. Very unlikely he's still alive. They don't have any evidence to a precise area where he went missing in, and Mount Baldy is huge. Possible that his body will never be found?

Why don’t you stop talking in censored soundbites all the time and say/ask what you want to? Sounds like you’re holding back.

I retired from the DDP this year as it's no longer something I enjoy, but it's sad to see a few of my past uniques haven't been carried over this year. Notably: Kim Weston (wiki), soul singer who duetted with Marvin Gaye in "It Takes Two", turning 84 this year with a bad history of serious health issues. Eddie Stobart (wiki), haulage giant who has disappeared from the face of the earth in recent years, turning 94 in April.

Crem seems to have just discovered it! Let him run out of steam as they all do. And @The Old Crem, if you're just bored then I can easily give you a task to do!

I remember them calling him that. Such an exaggeration as there are MUCH MUCH worse trolls on there than him. Put it this way – he never threatened or doxxed anyone. When you've had that happen to you in an orchestrated attack, you know you're up against the worst.

If you exclude the entirety of WEP’s pointless entry of [very] obscure foreign actresses.

I've added Clarence Bass. I was shocked that Bill Pearl didn't receive a single QO. Doesn't appear to be much love for world champion bodybuilders amongst obituary writers, or they're not sure how to write them. If Pearl didn't get one, I'm not sure that any of the others on my list will tbh.

Spanish film director and screenwriter Eugenio Martín (wiki) dead at 97. Known for his genre films such as "Bad Man's River" (starring Lee Van Cleef/Gino Lollobrigida) and "Horror Express" (starring Christopher Lee/Peter Cushing/Telly Savalas). A pick in the 20/20 pool. -
Leaves Bobby Wright (80) as the last surviving member of the regular cast.

Felix Sienra (wiki) becomes the first ever Olympian to turn 107.

David Graham was not born in 1930. Johnny Gilbert was not born in 1924. I bring these up every year, and they're never corrected. Also, the photo of cricketer Thelma McKenzie (who is dead) is in face of some random Australian woman of the same name (who is also dead). God knows why a team keeps picking this individual every year... EDIT: Another one – Katsumi Tezuka has been picked yet again, even though he's dead. But regardless of that, that photo being used is not him.

Please don’t. We’re already bored.

He was 92, and 5 days shy of his 93rd birthday. It’s not unusual for ppl to round up though, hence why they said 93. Anyways, it doesn’t really matter.

I’m guessing you prefer her brother who bankrolls the SNP?

Negative. I’ve had 2 shadow hits… and too much booze.

Some useless trivia for you – both the UK and the US versions of Dennis the Menace issued their first copies on March 12, 1951. No relation, just sheer coincidence.

Arguably there’s no such thing. He was tweeting yesterday and had announced last year that he wanted to go on the road again. I think it’s more likely that he had a sudden medical turn ie heart attack or stroke.
