Narayan Dutta Ojha died sometime between 1991 and 2019, as per this news article from April 2019. Quote: "I remember when I was appointed a judge of Allahabad High Court in 1991, I went to the residence of late Justice N.D. Ojha, who had retired as a Supreme Court judge, and had been my senior when I started law practice, to take his blessings." I told you I'd kill them both off this evening...

Sukanta Kishore Ray was actually the son of Bira Kishore Ray (1891–1985), who was the first Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court. Anyway, he died on 23 December 2002, aged 84. Full bio of him here.

Telegraph obit for Ian Hamilton. Given its length, they must have wrote it some time ago.

Think you're confused between the DDP and the DL.

True. Remember also though that France has a PM. There are 13 living former French PMs. Our history teacher at school gave us the cruel task of learning all the French PMs of the 20th century. There were 98 PMs from 1901 to 2000 – that's crazy!

I'll have a proper hunt for evidence of death for these two tonight. In the meantime, I've moved both to the possibly living category on Wiki. There's no evidence either are alive. It's just yet another case of new pages being created on Wiki by editors who don't really know what they're doing. S.K. Ray's sister died in 2020, aged 95. It mentions her brother, but annoyingly doesn't state if he's alive. Given that it lists another sister as a survivor though, it kind of infers he's dead, but not strong enough for Wiki standards.

Sometimes looking at the "history" tab of the Wikipedia page is handy. I've killed this woman off several times now, and idiot editors keep changing it back. As per this article from The Hindu she's deceased.

So where on Wikipedia is he still marked as alive then?
-
Can you highlight the ones you're unsure of still being alive in a different colour? I can take a look tonight but I don't want to go through such a huge list. Mata Prasad... are you sure the Governor of AP and this guy are the same person? Nowhere on his Wiki page does it mention him being the governor of a state for 6 years!

LOL. The Episcopalian bishop of Brechin or a 104 year old man who played the organ at a church are not DL-level people. That's not perspective, that's fact.
-
A unique hit for me! :)
-
Just had a look at your Shadow List, and at least 8 of your 17 hits so far are not "DL level" type names. It's easy to pick 50 names of random, barely notable centenarians and nonagenarians and get 17 hits. Anyone can do that. Think you've missed the point of this pool...

Bless you.

Annoying. still no official confirmation or denial of this. Just reports from several days ago that he is "gravely ill". If he's not dead already, it would appear that his death is imminent. -

Unconfirmed reports emerging on social media that the other co-founder of Red Bull, Austrian billionaire businessman Dietrich Mateschitz (wiki) has died aged 78. Believable given that there were news reports circulating within the last 48 hours stating that he was gravely ill. Not been seen in public in years. We'll see... Edit: A pick in the Georgian Deadpool II.- 676 replies

Tweet below reporting the death of Mary Moriarty, aka the "Queen of Leith". Somewhat of an eccentric, she always seemed to pop up in the Scottish media from time to time. She was either 82 or 83. -
