Good riddance. I’m sure his close buddy, Red Ken Livingstone will be gutted.

Waiting for someone to correct me, but I believe that QEII's death means that there is only one living female former world leader who was born in the 1920s. Violeta Chamorro (wiki), President of Nicaragua (1990–1997). She was born in October 1929 so will turn 93 next month. Unsure of her current condition, but she retired from public life in 1997 due to poor health.

^^ Underrated comment right there.

I genuinely don’t think it is. If it was, the delivery was atrocious. “Get a grip”? Sorry if I hurt your feelings. Didn’t realise you’re a die hard Biden fan.

"It's all his fault we are spending $6 billion in tax payer dollars on HIV and AIDS this month". The cognitive decline of this man is absolutely apparent. I can’t believe there are some on this forum who are still flat out denying it. We ought to keep a close watch on him, and if it gets worse then he should be considered for DL in a few years.

Well looks like John Hartman died on December 29, 2021!! Yet, they only thought to inform the public last week. Worrying that a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame can die off radar for so long.

Well this thread needs to get to 200 pages somehow, so here's the first part to a very pointless list, though hopefully some will find it interesting and reflective. A list of selected notable British subjects who were both born in and died during the timeframe of QEII's reign. Part 1: 1952–1982 Tony Brise (1952–1975; 23) Formula One racing driver, died in a plane crash Sid Vicious (1957–1979; 21) Bassist and co-vocalist of Sex Pistols; died of a heroin overdose Olive Morris (1952–1979; 27) Activist in feminist, black nationalist and squatters' rights campaigns; died from lymphoma Jimmy McCulloch (1953–1979; 26) Lead guitarist and bass in Wings and Thunderclap Newman; died from alcohol and morphine poisoning Ian Curtis (1956–1980; 23) Lead singer of Joy Division; committed suicide Johnny Owen (1956–1980; 24) Bantamweight champion boxer; died from injuries sustained in a match Bobby Sands (1954–1981; 27) IRA member and MP (1981); died on a hunger strike Ian McKay VC (1953–1982; 29) British Army soldier, posthumous recipient of the Victoria Cross; died in the Falklands War James Honeyman-Scott (1956–1982; 25) Songwriter and guitarist for The Pretenders; died from cocaine-related heart failure

I can't see anything. Just a blank space.

Thought it was time to look at who's still around from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975): Jack Nicholson (b. 1937) R.P. McMurphy Louise Fletcher (1934–2022) Nurse Ratched Will Sampson (1933–1987) Chief William Redfield (1927–1976) Dale Harding Brad Dourif (b. 1950) Billy Bibbit Sydney Lassick (1922–2003) Charlie Cheswick Christopher Lloyd (b. 1938) Max Taber Danny DeVito (b. 1944) Martini Dean Brooks (1916–2013) Dr. John Spivey William Duell (1923–2011) Jim Sefelt Vincent Schiavelli (1948–2005) Bruce Frederickson Michael Berryman (b. 1948) Ellis Alonzo Brown (b. 19??) Attendant Miller – the only one of the credited cast I can't confirm is alive. Last credit was in 1994. Mwako Cumbuka (b. 1950) Attendant Warren Nathan George (1936–2017) Attendant Washington Marya Small (b. 1942) Candy Scatman Crothers (1910–1986) Night Guard Turkle Phil Roth (1930–2002) Woolsey Louisa Moritz (1936–2019) Rose Peter Brocco (1903–1992) Col. Matterson Delos V. Smith Jr. (1906–1997) Scanlon Josip Elic (1921–2019) Bancini Mimi Sarkisian (b. 1951) Nurse Pilbow Ted Markland (1933–2011) Hap Arlich Nicholson has long since retired and is now somewhat of a recluse so it's difficult to judge how well he is. He's been seen in a wheelchair, is very overweight and has been rumoured to have been suffering from the early onset of dementia. Dourif, Lloyd, DeVito and Berryman are all still very active. Berryman does a lot of convention appearances. He seems very mobile, sounds good, but is looking his age. Marya Small (now acting under the name of Mews Small) is somewhat active, acting in a series in 2022. Cumbuka appears to have briefly come out of retirement in 2021 to play a role in a low budget film. Sarkisian only ever had two minor roles, but still shows up in the residency records, living in California. Nicholson will likely be next to go. If not him then a long shot would be DeVito, Berryman or Lloyd, if only for their age/physical condition.

Times death notice for Sir Bruce Pattullo, aged 84. Governor of the Bank of Scotland from 1991 to 1998.
-
And now his widow, Hungarian-British actress and war correspondent Anna Thynn, Marchioness of Bath (wiki) has died aged 78. Death notice from The Times in spoiler below.

The GRO Index is down at the moment, otherwise I would check. I highly doubt it. They seem to be a prominent trio in Wales, and the two other members got QOs.

The conversation we're having is about where she wanted to die. Look at my post again.
-
But her fondest memories of summers spent with her family are from Balmoral... I spend most of my days working in the financial district of London... doesn't mean I want to die there.
-
I agree with most of this. As Windsor correctly pointed out, Anne was there. I've also heard conflicting stories about where she "wanted" to die. Definitely wasn't Sandringham or Buckingham Palace, but depending on who you ask, she either wanted to die at Windsor or Balmoral.

Your banter is absolutely appalling.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive
Ulitzer95 replied to Catherine's topic in DeathList Forum
Amazingly/bizarrely, she scores a full Telegraph obituary. -
Ultimate coffin tease.

It's time consuming enough as it is. I work 14 hour slots 5 days a week and most of the time I post it's on my phone, often rushed, when I get a spare couple of minutes so I need to go back and forth between urls, copy and pasting Wiki pages and news sources. I'm not doing it in here as well.
-
You know what? I actually think that you're right. Time this thread was put to better purpose. I think you and Toast should collaborate on a post cataloguing all notable deaths mentioned elsewhere from January to September for this thread tonight, then that will set the ball in motion, ensuring that it is used as a "complete record" for the future.
-
Well judging from the dozens of frustrated reactions from users going back 18 pages, quite a few people.
-
In that case, I think you should start practising what you preach so as to lead by example, seeing as you seem to jump on this argument once every few months, and yet never actually do what you're advocating...
-
That doesn't really work when 90% of the deaths we report on this forum aren't ever posted in this thread, does it? What is the use in pointless repetition? If you want a record for all deaths of the year, that's what the Deaths in 2022 page on Wiki is for.

Gets the full Telegraph obit treatment. British media with Dame Hilary Mantel right now:
