@tracy, is there anything on MyLife for American mobster Lawrence Dentico (wiki)? Someone claiming to be one of his children edited the page a few years back to say he died on March 29, 2018 (aged 94). No obit ever surfaced.

The last surviving MP who represented the now abolished constituency of Chester-le-Street. Now they're all In-le-Ground.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Facebook post from a friend tends to confirm it's true. Died on the night of the 24th/25th so still plenty of time for the media to pick it up I suppose. -
I've updated his Wiki page with two references that confirm he's deceased. Died at some point prior to 2005.

Lily Renée's death deserves a mention here too. Oldest three comic book artists/writers with an EN wiki page now? 1) Al Jaffee (wiki) USA b. 1921 2) Erich von Götha (wiki) UK b. 1924 <--- Is he definitely still with us? 3) Dino Attanasio (wiki) BELGIUM b. 1925

Urgh, WTAF. I’ll look into this when I get home. I wish IMDb would list their sources and evidence in the bios when they add these dates. It would be a lot easier for us to trust them.

@Gooseberry Crumble/Joan Collins, can you confirm or deny?
-
She'll survive now that you've given her a mention in this thread.
-
We know. Look above. Who do you think sent FilmMewse the information?

Thanks for this tracy. One more for you please (my browser won't let me access MyLife in the UK!). Grammy Award winning music producer Sonny Lester (b. 1924, wiki), real name Sumner Lester, died in April 2018 in Florida according to now reverted edits to his Wiki page by his son Danny. Can you please see if there's a record of this anywhere?

Agreed. The Queen stays in Balmoral every August–October. Why should she have to interrupt her holiday for either of those halfwits?
-
I've noticed it's not always updated for each individual either. Jazz musician Boomie Richardson (b. 1921, wiki) died in 2016. His son mentioned it briefly in passing somewhere on Facebook. No obit was ever published so I've been unable to update his page. His real name was Abraham Samuel Richman. SPF says he's still alive, but I know that's not true.

@tracy, using the same site, I also see that author Norman Garbo (wiki) has died in either 2021 or 2022 aged 102/103. This one looks to have happened earlier than Joyce Reynold's death though. Are there any tools online I could use to extract a full death date?

Interesting, cheers. A bit of a ballache for the team who picked her in the DDP! @gcreptile @Death Impends

British bass guitarist Dave Wintour (wiki) died on 12 July, aged 77. Played the bass on "Damnit Janet" in Rocky Horror. Also a member of The Wurzels (from 1995 to 2002), If, and Chicken Shack. Guardian obit from today. Death notice from last month.

Death notice for Rico in The Herald. Died in Govan. Scotland's People reveals he was born Ricardo Capuano in 1971 in Paisley, so he was 50–51 at the time of his death.

Lise Drougge is actually deceased this time. Record here confirms she died on 12 August 2022, aged 102. -
I don't think Russell M. Nelson will be troubling us for another 5 years or so. In fact, I think he'll outlive the Queen and Dick Van Dyke at this rate.

Time to knock this one dead in the water, seeing as a couple of places online suggest he's still alive. IMDb says Billy Kent Schaefer was born in Los Angeles, California on 26 September 1920. Nothing remotely close appears in the birth records on Ancestry so this cannot be true. Using a search on Newspapers.com, I found this. A newspaper clipping from 1937 which talks about Billy, along with his sister, the actress Dorothea Kent (wiki, born Dorothea Jane Schaefer, 1916–1990). She was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, and her birth record is easy to find. Her parents were Anthony "Tony" C. Schaefer, a Hollywood film editor, and Edna Curran. Using the information of the parents, and the fact that we know Kent is not a birth name but rather a name that they both later adopted (possibly through their mother remarrying), we find a William Curran Schaefer born in Douglas, Nebraska on 26 September 1918 to Anthony C. Schaefer. The birthdate matches the one on IMDb, but the year and place of birth differs. Then there's his death record. He died on 12 July 1962 in Los Angeles California, aged just 43. Using this Information and putting it back into Newspapers.com, we find his obituary. It confirms he was originally from Nebraska. Interestingly it gives a little insight into what he did after being a child actor – he worked as a casting director. Says nothing about the cause of death sadly.

Thanks for this tracy. I did a bit of my own research earlier, and came to the same conclusion – it's him. The birth name and DOB on IMDb can be verified by the common maiden name of their mother. Couldn't find his record on Radaris, Spokeo, Clustermaps etc. which is why I presumed he had died off radar but I appreciate these records are incomplete and the forum posts from his daughter in 2007 and 2011 stating that he was alive and based in Dade City is a near clean match with the Donald R Smith whose death record is on Accurint. Record information. Name J R Smith Mother Chapin Birth 29 Aug 1915 Los Angeles, California Name Donald R Smith Mother Chapin Birth 17 Sep 1924 Kern, California With all this in mind, I will get in touch with Lord Heath. They'll be able to update his profile, and then IMDb should follow.

. @DaDeathGuy is correct. A quick search on Ancestry reveals that there are many ppl named “Donald R. Smith” born in 1924. “Donald” and “Smith” are very common names Gisooo. I know you want to solve this but IMDb isn’t a reliable source as you should know by now. Someone needs to speak to the family. Or evidence needs to be uncovered that his middle name is “Ray” and that he lived in that particular county in Florida.

Telegraph obit for Stella “Jaye” Edwards, British pilot of the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA), who has died just short of turning 104. There were 1320 ATA pilots. 168 were females. Article suggests she was the last British ATA pilot, and the last female one.

Or she maybe just thinks you’re a stalker.

Hardly seems reliable.
