We’ve spoken about her in length on here before. There is literally a photo of her grave with name, spouse, birth and death dates.
-
Can't use BillionGraves alone for Besselink. There's another user vetoing it. Thanks for the other two! I've done Draper and Drayton. In their places on the list I've added songwriter Roma Wilkinson (died 2013?) and Grammy Award winning jazz producer Sonny Lester (died 2018?).
-
I’ll try and find a way to link this one all together. It’s definitely him. If I can find a newspaper source that mentions his spouse then it’ll all piece together nicely enough.
-
Yup, that’s me having that argument with him! Some Floridian golf wanker. His argument was “well it could be a distant cousin”. I mean, there’s even an article from several years prior stating that he was dying from dementia in a care home! It’s blatantly him.

He didn't obit anywhere, other than some mentions of a couple of Doctor Who sites. You dodged a bullet on that one...
-
Nope. Guardian obits is the opposite. Literally dozens of them do obituaries. Each of their obit writers specialises in a certain field and writes elsewhere for the publication (i.e. they don't just write obituaries all day).
-
Boot Hill have now also removed their obituary (which was copied from ForeverMissed). Annoyingly someone has created a FindAGrave page for her now too, copying the details from BootHill. This is how misinformation spreads...

As mentioned in the Detective thread, Leon Lissek is one for List of the Lost. He's died recently according to Equity magazine's latest issue, and yet no obit anywhere. His year of birth needs to be adjusted on the DDP too. Born in 1939, not in 1927.
-
Crossposting here. According to the latest Equity magazine, "Our Graham"/Graham Skidmore (wiki), the voiceover of Blind Date from 1985 to 2002, has died at some point in 2021/22, in his mid-80s.

Surely obits have to come through for Lissek and "Our Graham"? For anyone who wants to read the full list, it's available here for free.

A unique pick in the DDP. Sure to obit. -
So it seems Equity finally released their Spring/Summer 2022 magazine a week or so ago (a month late). However, they seem to have gone back to their old ways of sending it via mail to members but not uploading it online. A long shot but I don't suppose we have any members on here who could take a photo of the In Memoriam page and upload? Annoying the President of Equity uploaded a video of him discussing the latest magazine here on YouTube. He shows the In Memoriam section at 7:19 but the camera isn't close enough to him to make out the writing.

Guardian obituaries on the axe list perhaps? No new obituaries in the last 3 days despite it being the working week, and for weeks before that they seem to have been churning them out at a pace of about 2 over 3 days. Cutbacks or a sign of things to come? https://www.theguardian.com/tone/obituaries

Frequently mentioned in this thread and elsewhere... Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson (wiki), dead at 100 according to various pages on Facebook, e.g. here, here and here. A pick in the centenarians deadpool... There are now 10 Tuskegee Airmen survivors from WWII with Wiki pages: James Clayton Flowers (b. 1915, wiki) Raymond Cassagnol (b. 1920, wiki) Thomas Franklin Vaughns (b. 1920, wiki) James H. Harvey (b. 1923, wiki) Harold Brown (b. 1924, wiki) Harry Stewart Jr. (b. 1924, wiki) George Hardy (b. 1925, wiki) Carl C. Johnson (b. 1926, wiki) Gene Derricotte (b. 1926, wiki) Oscar Lawton Wilkerson (b. 1926, wiki)

Family have issued a death notice here, so he really was still alive until last month. Just goes to show... don't believe everything you read on autograph hunting forums!
-
Pahahahaha. Always said she was just there to rinse him of a few dollar. I was right. Good on her.

Ray Hill (wiki), leader of the far right and one of the founding members of the British National Party (BNP), dead at 82. Later became an anti-racism activist and foiled a plot to bomb the Notting Hill Carnival. Telegraph obit. Guardian obit.
-
Hmmm... The memorial's been deleted from ForeverMissed (which is where Boot Hill have copy and pasted the obit from). Maybe fake news? Need to wait to see if she's listed in SAG-AFTRA in the future.
-
You may wish to check your source on that one. I was led to believe he turned 100 today but didn’t become a centenarian.
-
A massive limp wristed Biden supporter inventing a story that never happened? Well I never.

The wife of Robert Zemericks, who is an author in her own right and not only had a close relationship to the subject but arguably was the one who brought Rowland back to public attention in the first place. Even Wikipedia allows for exceptions to the no Twitter/Facebook sources, and this is a good example of when FB can be used.

"The most widely published unknown poet in America" Simon Perchik (wiki) dead at 98 according to this tweet:
-
Also a Facebook post from Zemeckis about her death here. Seems she died c. March/April. A pick in the centenarians deadpool. Not picked in the DDP. Tbh, reading up on her career she's like an obituary writer's dream so the only reason she hasn't received coverage is because the media are unaware, not lack of interest. She had some bit part movie roles so technically she was the oldest living Hollywood actor. That accolade now belongs to Marsha Hunt.
