And who are the oldest?
-
French Resistance member during WWII and Righteous Among the Nations Anne Beaumanoir dead at 98.

Laurel Goodwin was the last living credited cast member from the original pilot of Star Trek. Though surprisingly, its director Robert Butler (wiki) is still alive and turns 95 in October. Sally Kellerman, who was one of the lead actors in the second pilot episode, died on Feb 24th, just a day before Goodwin!
-
Times death notice for the 3rd Baron Remnant (wiki). Died 4 March 2022, aged 91. Member of the House of Lords, 1967–1999. Death notice copied into spoiler below.
-
Times death notice for Lee Everett Alkin (wiki), who died on 24 February, aged 85. British spiritual healer, and former pop singer and celebrity psychic. Ex-wife of the late comedian and DJ Kenny Everett and one time girlfriend of the late pop singer Billy Fury. A friend of Sir Elton John and Billie Jean King. Notice copy and pasted below in spoiler.
-
Telegraph obit for Sir Charles Gray QC (wiki), British barrister and judge who famously ruled against historian David Irving for his Holocaust denial views. He was 79, and obituary is worth a read. Fascinating career.

Wasn't sure where to post this but I've long been intrigued by the cast list of the 2012 film Run For Your Wife (wiki), considered to be one of the worst films ever made. The film has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (no, really). 80+ cameos from big names throughout the film – they all agreed to appear on the basis that their fee would go to charity. Thought it was time to write it out given the recent deaths of Barry Cryer and Lynda Baron. See spoiler below.

Who's funding this shite? Presumably the German tax payer? WWII ended 77 years ago. The youngest any of these alleged perpetrators can be is now 95. Most are in fact older. In many instances they die before or during the proceedings of their trial. Complete waste of time, money and resources, that could be used to concentrate on modern day scumbags who are currently out there committing crimes and harming people.

Nation Cymru obit for Bidgood.

Loads of tribute posts to her on Facebook now, including from poet Merryn Williams who knew her personally, so it's true. -
Is Auntie Mabel a big star in post-Communist Albania then?
-
RIP Auntie Mabel. She's back with Pippin and her pencils now.

Meeting an Arabian diplomat nonetheless.

There is a good probability of one appearing in the next few days -
Mac Martin (wiki), American bluegrass singer and guitarist, dead at 96. Member of the Bluegrass Hall of Fame. Still performing up until 2015.
-
Comedian Andy Hamilton was on The Chase earlier. Only 68 this year but the bloke looks awful. Being 5ft 2 and obese also a risk factor in itself. I will put myself out there and say file him into the "won't live past 75" category.
-
Hollywood Reporter obit for Mitchell Ryan. Defo a name for the annual TCM reel, guaranteed due to him playing the main villain in Lethal Weapon.
-
Hollywood Reporter obit for Billy Watson. May lead him to get a QO. Not that it matters so much, as he was wasn't picked in the DDP (neither were Garry Watson or Mildred Kornman) but I'm curious to see if all 3 of them can obit as the last survivors of the silent era.
-
Sir Christopher Mallaby (wiki), British diplomat, dead at 85. The UK's ambassador to France (1993–1996) and West Germany/Germany (1988–1993). Times death notice. Copy and pasted below.

Daily Record says 68. STV says 69. Everywhere online has him down as born in 1953 in Sauchie, Clackmannanshire. There are no males by the surname of "STAHL" born in Scotland between 1951 and 1954 according to a search on Scotland's People. Stage name? -
That's very sad. Just two I believe. I contacted the Lord Heath website and they consulted some experts on Our Gang. There is no evidence that Alma Carroll appeared in any silent films, despite what one website claims.

"The Ukraine nonsense" is the exact type of Freudian slip an MP would come out with and then you'd condemn them for being heartless or out of touch.
