Some local obits coming through now: ABC 6. Ohio State News. Fan Nation. Reading up on just how much he did for digital art, he's someone who may skim a QO in a month or two.

Her ex-husband, British set and costume designer Tony Walton (wiki) has died aged 87 from complications of a stroke. Oscar winner ("All That Jazz", 1979). Nominated for a further 4 ("Mary Poppins", 1964, "Murder on the Orient Express", 1974, and 2 for "The Wiz", 1978). They divorced in 1968 but remained close friends.

There is no Italian Ancestry – that's part of the problem. Of the 2358 pages on my Wikipedia watchlist of names born up to 1926, about 50% are probably dead. Within that 50%, there are more from Italy than any other country. I haven't found anywhere online where you can access their birth/death records, which is very frustrating.

WWII WASP Deanie Parrish (wiki) dead one day before her 100th birthday. What a party pooper! Mentioned by @arghton in the Detective thread before*

I would say that's a fair comment, but... I wanted to quote a prior mention of him on DL, and crossquoting between topics is needlessly complicated from a mobile phone on here!

Holloway is a first class MP! Don't be so shallow to judge everything by political lines. There are good guys in all political parties in the Commons.

Thought I'd return to this one as I would like to solve it. Jean Gillespie was mainly known as a radio actress. She married stage actor Bill Thunhurst in 1951, according to this newspaper clipping. His full name was Wilford Thunhurst. He was born in 1920 and died in 2011, and after his brief acting career he became a successful Pittsburgh businessman. Here is his obituary from his local newspaper in 2011. At the time of his death, they were no longer married and his obituary doesn't even mention her. He was married at least twice (but possibly four times!). Their marriage certificate is available here. They married in Manhattan, NY in 1951. Her name is listed as Gloria J. Gillespie. Thunhurst is a very rare surname, which makes me believe that this 1964 Connecticut marriage certificate between a Jean G. Thunhurst and a Richard K. Davis is her. It also mentions that she was a resident of New York at the time... So, assuming she didn't divorce and marry for a third time, she likely died as Gloria Jean Davis or Jean Gloria Davis, around 2020. Weirdly, I can't find her birth certificate. This newspaper clipping confirms she was born in Boston, and her marriage certificates confirm she was born 1923–1924, so that leads me to believe her IMDb birthdate of 21 Oct 1923 is likely correct. This newspaper clipping confirms that her parents were Mr. & Mrs. William G. Gillespie who lived in Arlington, Massachusetts in 1951.

Volodymyr Struk, Ukrainian former MP and incumbent mayor of the city of Kreminna, found shot dead at 57 (word of warning – don't click on the link if squeamish as there's a photo of his corpse). I know there's been a junior athlete and one or two minor military ppl, but I consider this to be the first death of note from the war. As such, @Death Impends @Paul Bearer, can you please move this thread to general?

Adam Holloway, a current British Conservative MP is there as well. He has a death wish. Went to Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan during all of those conflicts against Foreign Office advice.

Farrah Forke (wiki), American television actress, dead from cancer at 54. A familiar face to 90s audiences. Played Alex Lambert in "Wings" and Mayson Drake in "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman". Variety. The Sun. Hollywood Reporter.

QO via The Sun. A unique DDP pick.

I mean I could but… Not that I’m being insensitive. I just have no interest in memorialising fatalities of war who are neither notable or personal to me. Sorry.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive
Ulitzer95 replied to Catherine's topic in DeathList Forum
Genuinely surprised to read that both of the Lyman twins (popularly known as the "Rainman Twins" after the Hollywood film) are still alive. Flo and Kay Lyman are the world's only female twins with savant autism (the form that allows ppl to hold incredible memories). They received a lot of attention following a 2008 documentary on their lives. They were obsessed by Dick Clark, and were understandable devastated when he died. Neither of them looked a picture of health back then, so I was surprised to see they were still going so strong in 2018. They turn 66 in June. I would expect them to receive a QO via the Mail, Sun etc. -
That boy is a total twat.

Has recovered from COVID and returned to work; held virtual meetings with representatives of Andorra and Chad this morning.

He's not in the GRO Index up until Dec 2020, but I can go one better than that. He's still alive and based in Bournemouth as of 2022 (as per 192 People). I wasn't too familiar with 192 when I did the 60s/70s entries. I've updated the entry for Our Kid with a note at the bottom clarifying that Rowan is alive (though I never marked him as deceased anyway as I strongly suspected the comments online declaring him dead were from a hoaxer).

Telegraph reporting that satellite images show a 3 mile column of tanks and troops heading to Kyiv. Sadly, I'm not sure that the Ukrainians, and indeed Zelensky, will be able to hold out for much longer.

This definitely adds insult to injury for those waiting on a Ronnie Hellstrom obit.

No idea. The only Maya Bond who was born in 1931 in the States appears to be a Maya D. Bond b. Texas 20 Sep 1931, now living in California, so probably the same one from that Radaris record you found. IMDb says the actress was born 3 Sep 1931, so either they have the date wrong or Maya Bond is just a stage name.

Alas, turns out this is fake news. Seems to have re-emerged in several videos, including this one. Still on zero notable deaths from this conflict.

Thanks. I've updated the page. There's a family tree on Ancestry that suggests he may have died in 1997 (the same year he was released from prison) but I can't find anything reliable online to back this up.

Thanks! Do you have a link to the interview? I will update his Wiki page.
